Breakfast Queen 👸 was recommend for me to try so in I went. Maps took me in the back way entrance which was in an alley but also parking lot. So it's a busy little area. The front entrance is on South Broadway. I noticed an outside dining area and thdn just to the left there are two doors to go in. I went inside to ask gor help in holding the doors for me and Costas was more then willing to wait for me. My 95 yr old senior was eager to eat. I absolutely 💯 love the atmosphere here. So diverse and all running smoothly. Cistas helped us to a table. The temperature of the restaurant was extremely warm like in a arboretum and I did have to remove my sweatshirt. We had a little spill of water and another waitress cleaned us up with no problem. Our waitress Lori for amazing and predicted when we needed more coffee without even asking and checking on us at appropriate times. 😁 I can tell the management clearly takes care of their employees merely by how they all helped each other and their kind and friendly manner. I ordered The Breakfast Queen Surpreme and it was was just flawless. The scrambled eggs were plentiful with a lightly buttery taste. The pancakes were sizeable and the bacon 🥓 mmm mmmm yummy 😋. A sweetness with barely a smoked flavor. Lori even made sure we had plenty of butter. So nice to see a local business care about their customers and give back! Applause to...
Read moreThe wait was pretty reasonable. We had a half hour wait at 11 am on a Sunday, and the coffee and food where out quickly after we sat down to ensure we didnt have to wait much longer.
Old school dinner vibe. Staff are quick and to the point but still super nice and helpful. The place was packed but we got our food quickly and at no point did we feel rushed to leave in order to open the table up.
Food was the same as the staff. No frills but absolutely delicious. My husband and I had the Breakfast Queen Supreme w. French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and ham. It was the perfect amount to split between two people. The eggs were very well cooked which was a huge relief after having really over cooked eggs the morning before. The bacon was super crispy. The ham could have stood to have a bit more of a sear on it, but it tasted great. The French Toast was delicious, well cooked, soft, and buttery.
My mom got the Country Fried Steak Skillet w. Sunny side up eggs. She had no complaints and the steak I sampled was awesome. It was crisp, not too bready, and the steak was tender.
It was definitely worth the wait and if I'm ever in Denver again, I won't...
Read moreI heard about this place a long time ago but have never visited. We used to go to Breakfast King on Sante Fe and Mississippi, which has closed.
Parking was not easy to find. The very large lot was packed full but we managed to find a place on the street. We visited on a Wednesday at about 10:30am.
With that said, once you get a table and have a seat, the hard work you put in to get here pays off in spades.
The restaurant was full yet the staff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable .. especially Sandy, our waitress. The hustle she put into service is commendable. The menu is american/southwest and there's a very good chance you'll find your favorite choices on there. My wife had the Mazatlan smothered burrito and I ordered Traditional Eggs Benedict. Both were fantastic! Both came with a side of hash browns, nice and crispy.
In all, we had a great 1st time experience here. We weren't in a rush yet, we finished everything in about 45 minutes for a very reasonable...
