I've visited twice, both times the food and drinks were great. The craft cocktails in particular are creative and tasty. The pasta dishes, namely the carbonara, were great and a decent serving for the price. The staff have also been welcoming and helpful, for example offering to swap spaghetti with another noodle type.
The one aspect I think the restaurant could work in is atmosphere. At least inside, the LED overhead lighting and hard floors have felt a little sterile both times I've been. Some calmer mood lighting and sound dampening could go a long way. I understand that they were operating in a food truck/stall capacity before upgrading to this space, so I won't hold it against them.
Overall, I'm really just grateful to have a decent Italian place in Englewood. My experiences here have been much...
Read moreService was excellent. It seemed like our waiter may have been the owner. He did a great job and cared much for our experience. The atmosphere was nice. Clean, seemingly arranged for dates, though a little bright. The bathrooms were very clean. The food we had was good, but unspectacular. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was great. Moist inside, perfect crispy crust on the outside. The accompanying spaghetti was very plain. My wife ordered a build-your-own pizza without the cheese for dietary reasons. It was good, but could have been great if it had a little more sauce. The bread/crust tasted very fresh. We had a good time. The food was close to being very good. The pricing was passable, but I didn’t feel like I was getting a deal either. I may be back once the place has had a little longer...
Read moreI've driven past this restaurant as it was being updated to Pesto Italiano. A friend and I decided to stop in and try it. The decor of the restaurant is inviting and bright. It was very clean and in overall appearance and clean dishes and glasses. It isn't a large restaurant, so it's comfy and cozy. The food was very good! The pasta and sauces were very flavorful. The portions were very good for the price. The prices are reasonable. I had the Alfredo chicken, and my friend had the chicken parm. The only suggestion is to have more tender pieces of chicken as mine was a bit tough and dry. This restaurant has parking (small lot), disabled spaces, and is on the first floor. They seemed to be LGTBQ+ friendly. There is a comfortable outside patio facing Broadway. I would recommend Pesto Italiano! I...
