El Rancho Grande Englewood — Restaurant in Englewood

I’m sad to say this place has gone downhill. While the ambiance is still beautiful, the service leaves much to be desired. We’ve given this restaurant three chances, and each time, we regret coming. Unfortunately, we won’t be back or recommending it to others.

To start, the drinks were watered down, which was disappointing. Then, we ordered our food, and I saw someone bring out my dish but walk away with it. Ten minutes later, the food finally arrived, but it wasn’t the full order. My partner didn’t get his meal at all, and my food was only lukewarm—clearly left sitting under a warmer.

I had also ordered an extra side of shrimp for my nachos, but after waiting 20 more minutes, it still hadn’t arrived. Meanwhile, my partner still didn’t have his food. At that point, we decided to cancel the remaining order, pay for what we had touched, and leave.

Adding insult to injury, this restaurant charges a gratuity fee for any bill over $100, regardless of how many people are in your party. It feels unreasonable and left a bad taste in our mouths.

Love having a location near me 💓 I always enjoy trying a new drink each time I visit. So far The Oreo Margarita and the banana mama are my favorite. The staff are friendly & the food is always good. Ps. For people complaining about price... you literally choose your meal 😂 if it's too much for you why not choose a combo meal or go during lunch hours 😌 my family of five went and we spent less than $80 and that was 5 meals an appetizer & adult drinks. When I go by myself I barely spend $25 & without adults drinks less than 20. I've been to this location numerous times and always had a great experience. Food always arrives fast unless they're busy or you have a large table which is to be expected. If you guys think it takes too long for your food to arrive at a Mexican restaurant then you definitely don't want to go to a steakhouse 😉 when me and my girlfriend go we spend about $40 and that's with drinks without drinks it's way less. Came here for my niece birthday dinner while here from out of town. The food itself was pretty good but certain items could’ve been better. The camarones la diabla were not spicy at all which it should’ve. The salsa that came with chips did not taste authentic like something out of a jar. The enchilada came undone as if they just roll up a tortilla and threw sauce on it. The tamale was pretty good was moist and had good flavor. Also got a michelada and it tasted pretty watered down. They also didn’t ask for the spicy level for it and it was like drinking a beer on ice. And the waitress was not very attentive she didn’t offer any water didn’t come to check on us and also didn’t ask if we wanted anything else at the end of the meal. And two of the people at our table had to wait on their food as they forgot to put in their meals and had to wait 10-15 mins more for their food. Overall I would not come here again.
