My boyfriend and I were looking for something to do Thursday night and we saw this place was having a comedy open mic. Weâre always hoping around finding good comedy open mics so we gave this place a shot!
First off they allow Dogs (well behaved of course) so our golden retriever was happy he was included. I recommend getting their earlier because the bar was packed, bartenders did a good job making sure everyone got served
The comedy was hilarious the woman that performed (mad at myself for forgetting her name) needs a Netflix special her bit had my boyfriend and I laughing so hard, we had tears at one point. Would he awesome to see her again there.
I also wanted to give a huge shout out to the owner! As someone that loves open mic nights I canât stand when people talk during someoneâs set. People are nervous enough and itâs beyond rude. Hosts all the time tell the audience to be quiet during sets but I feel like they donât enforce it because of the âhospitality aspectâ and donât want to ruffle feathers. We were getting super irritated with the table in front of us that talked non stop during the show, I almost said something to them myself
The owner not only called them out once but twice and said if they didnât wanna stop talking they could leave. They finally stopped talking and it was super refreshing to see (especially as myself being in the industry) an owner not bowing down to people just because theyâre at his bar. Making the people that wanted to watch the show enjoy their experience.
Overall great time!...
Read moreOne of my favorite bars in the Denver metro area. Vibes are always good, and it really feels like a homey "living room" in Englewood, an airy, relaxed, and welcoming third space where, unlike other bars in the area, I have never once felt uncomfortable or unsafe being by myself or simply being myself, particularly as a neurodivergent person. Karaoke on Friday nights is always a blast with an extremely talented and supportive crowd. I haven't been to any of their numerous other events yet, such as Jackbox games night on Tuesdays or the monthly book club on Mondays, but they're great about posting their weekly schedule, and I'm intrigued by the options that I plan to attend. The Candy Cane Hot Cocoa in the photo blew me away with how tasty it was, which far exceeded my expectations and past experiences with similar drinks, and improved my somewhat bleak mood at the time significantly through flavor alone. It's seasonal, so come get one while you can! Also, they host a diverse array of delicious food trucks on the back patio, and I've gotten to experience much more of Denver's food culture than I would have otherwise just by coming here for karaoke. Truly a delightful hub of local culture...

Independently owned and community-oriented, the owner Harris makes everyone feel personally welcome, like youâre walking into his living room as much as his business. With a wide selection of beer and room to grow, you wonât be disappointed, and his recommendations will impress. Great events abound weekly: trivia, comedy, jackbox, open mics. No food, so donât arrive hungry. This establishment is the nexus of Englewood community spirit, and if you happen to be in the neighborhood, itâs more than deserving of a visit....
