Holiday Motel — Hotel in Englewood

Bed bugs, filthy. had to buy my own toilet seat. i was trapped in this filthy place for a month after a robbery left me broke and this man is a Slumloard. HE WALKED IN MY ROOM UNANNOUNCED. No knock just walked IN. He has his collector sons banging on the door starting at 9 am every morning looking for rent. He never issues receipts or collects taxes and it is all off the books. I have reported him to the department. of revenue. He pays residents $4.00 yes FOUR DOLLARS PER ROOM to supposedly clean, all under the table and with no cleaning supplies. I have reported him to the department of labor for his illegal employment practices. The sink was backed up for FIVE DAYS, was never fixed, it was filthy black in the tub and sink/toilet, there was no vacuum and there were BUGS EVERYWHERE. I HAVE reported him to tri-county health who has been trying to shut him down for a couple years now. The phone number on every listing on Google is wrong. Old Sam takes advantage of the poor who are in bad situations and exploits them and threatens homelessness if he doesn't like you. THERE'S PLENTY OF ADDICTS and access to drugs. This place will be shut down soon. HE KICKED OUT THE WOMEN SAYING WE WERE EVIL. Just put us out in the streets. He hates women especially educated ones. The weekly room price is $200 and the nightly price is $40. In reality this place isn't even worth $10 a night. It should be condemned. The linens are ripped, the toilet kept getting plugged up because of a toothbrush someone had flushed. When the repairman came, he used an electric snake and dragged feces onto the carpet in the room proper. Outrageous and constant contruction going on in the room next door. This I should have been warned about when paying for the room or at least given an option. When I complained, the Vietnamese owner pretended he didn't understand the English language. A billboard out front reads "American owned." They absolutely refused me a refund or discount for the inconvenience. I complained everyday for five days. I'm a reporter and had to work in the room. Yet they continued each day with their construction. One morning when I complained, I was verbally abused with unrepeatable expletives, "MF'r this and MF'r that!" Two nights in a row the police were there, arresting crack dealers and other criminal elements that seem to frequent the place. The city of Englewood or Denver should terminate this motel's permits and licenses. It's an obscene example of the worst kind of sleazy establishment Denver has to offer.
