The food is amazing and the service used to be amazing as well. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case anymore. As much as I would love to keep going no one should ever be told that the owner is upset at them for having them stay until closing. Or to see a owner look at their watch over and over as they eat dinner. My husband and I got to the restaurant at 7:30 promptly ordered our drinks, appetizer, and meals. The food was really slow… so slow that apparently we our welcomed our stay because the restaurant closes at 9:00pm and our meal wasn’t served to us until 8:45pm. I would also like to mention it was a week day and there was only another 2 or 3 tables being served that night just couples. As we were eating the owner kept watching us and his watch, we mentioned to our waiter what what was going on and she said that the owner was psst off because it was almost time to close and we were still there! Obviously, it safe to say we will never be returning to this restaurant again. It was the worst restaurant experience I...
Read moreI visit the restaurant often as a vendor of Cocuzzi Blossoms and find the owners Raffaele and son Andrea to be terrific people with whom you can converse with.
I have yet to eat a meal in the restaurant, but, I already know that they know how to cook things.
If visiting there for a meal, I urge you to try a stuffed Cocuzzi Flower and if the initial treat is good, to order more as a full appetizer.
My Cocuzzi Flowers are Organic.
The other restaurants that use them in Monmouth County are:
Sam Vera on 79
Brioso on route 9
San Marzano in Freehold
La Cipollina in Freehold
Cucina Nouveau on route 9
Matteoli on 522
And others as well.
My flowers are also available at Uncle Gino market on Gordon's Corner Road and on some occasions at the Livoti stores that are on Route 9, Route 34 and now in Middleton.
All of these retail shops are a blessing to our area and I urge all that see this to go there and buy from them all the wonderful things they make available to the shopping...
Read moreHow are you still in business? It’s been years since we’ve ordered because the orders always got screwed up or you’d be closed randomly and didn’t update your hours. Fast forward to the present day, I placed an online order at 5:45 pm. Pick up was scheduled for 6:05. I show up at 6:10, the man claims no one has ordered anything. To his surprise my order was unnoticed because he was preoccupied on his phone. No apology, just acted like it was a typical transaction. Once the pizza was out of the oven, he let it sit for 10 mins til he remembered I was waiting. He cut it and closed the box. Told the old man in the back I’m ready for my chef salad. Guess he didn’t hear, I had to ask again for my food after almost an hour. Don’t waste your time unless you have extra time to account for complacency. What a waste. Can’t wait for the “there’s no way that happened” type of response. It’s all good. You managed to eek by for 45 years, I’m sure you’ll keep going,...
