Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Ennis

Our family has been ordering drinks off of the app for half price for years now. With the new addition of watermelon flavor, our whole family has been adding it to almost everything that we drink! Today, I stopped in to get my normal drink, which included the watermelon flavor, for half price on the app. The app responded by saying it was having technical difficulties. I checked in with one of the carhops who took my order without question, but she ran into the same issue. Come to find out, only this store refuses to allow the watermelon flavor for the half-price drinks happy hour special! The flavor is $.30 added, or $.15 during happy hour. Either this is an interesting error on the POS system or an egregious fumble by management. Either way, the manager on duty refused to move forward with the order unless I paid full price. I know this seems like a lot for a couple of bucks, but when every other location takes care of our order without issue regarding watermelon, it stands out quite boldly that the hill Ennis decides to die on. I give him five stars because they're almost getting my order right every time. But here lately when I place a slushy order they don't read the ticket. I get a coconut slushie I add cherry and add real cherries to it and a lime wedge. They don't read the ticket and they don't add the cherries or the lime wedge to it. I did talk to the manager. She came to the car after I called 800 number and she gave me her card but still they are not feeling my order correctly. One person told me they're having a problem with the app. I said no you're not having no problem with the app because the app says I can add cherry juice and cherries to it and a lime wedge to it and the ticket says the same thing so it must be a human error Not a app error Because the app is correct and my receipt is correct. It means someone inside the building is not reading the tickets correctly....

I ordered off the app at 4:23. I got to the location at 4:30. Put in my stall number. Waited 10 minutes and nothing, meanwhile I watched 4 other cars drive in and get their stuff. 4:42 I push the red button and girl says she will bring it right out. 5:03 and STILL NOTHING. We were the only car left. It was 2 drinks and 4pc cheddar peppers. It should not take over 30 minutes to complete this order! I finally go to the drive thru window and there was a boy at the window on his phone.
