I always loved this place. Would pay more and go out of my way because I love old school hardware stores with great customer service and want to support small business. However, I feel took. Bought a $1000+ stihl saw. In less than a year the engine ran away with me. Always used stihl oils, etc. It only cut 2 trees in nearly a year. It's a huge saw, it's not an every day saw. Took it in for warranty and the guy in the back told me I abused it and wouldn't warranty it. Went to another stihl guy and he said it should 100% be warrantied. And it will be covered under warranty. I may go in this store in a pinch. But I won't buy any big tickets items from them anymore and won't go out of my way to give them business. I wasted a lot of time fooling with this saw that should have been warrantied in the first place. And I paid more for the saw, dumb me, because I wanted to support a small business....

Will charge you the price of a brand new mower to look at your mower and tell you they can't fix it. $240 to have a broken mower that can't be fixed. Dropped it off, they said it was fixed, it still has the same issue and doesn't run. Took it back and the employee argued that it does run, but it is a different problem and "nothing can be done" why didn't you fix the original problem and tell me that from the beginning? Absolutely ridiculous. Also my mower does not look like it was even touched even though they claim to have replaced several parts on it. Would not recommend for small...

We bought some equipment and not even a year old they stopped working. The manager confirmed that our equipment was under warranty and they will not fix it or exchange it. I'm so disappointed. This equipment my husband uses as part of his work. Now I can't get a hold of the manager. I do not recommend this place and I highly recommend John Deer in Ennis. Ace hardware does not provide good customer service. Turns out, Ace did not register our equipment with the dealer and it doesn't show up in the system. It's as if we never bought anything. So very...
