Taco Gomez — Restaurant in Ennis

Had the three taco special with rice and refried beans: Reminds me of the off-the-beaten-path street tacos I had in Puerta Vallarta. Perfectly seasoned meat, fresh, delicious, corn tortillas! Beware, the green salsa that’s the color of avocado: it’s not for the feint of heart. Spicy! But absolutely delicious in moderation. I also had a pork gordita, which was also excellent. Meat was well-seasoned and the tomato was ripe and sweet, lettuce was crisp and fresh. My son and gf had the barbacoa burrito which was huge, and I stole a bite of my gf’s; also delicious. Meat was well-seasoned and tender and the other ingredients: onion, cilantro, rice and beans added a full-flavor experience to it. I was pleased with the prices and the menu selection was expansive. The server was cordial and able to explain a few items to my gf who was unfamiliar with lengua and poblano pepper. I did order the lengua but was disappointed that they did not have any more. This review is for the food truck near Pantops. Headline: I did not enjoy this food.

Ordered 4 tacos for $9, two Chicken Fajita and two seasoned pork with special sauce. Not a bad price for 4 tacos.

Presentation: Four flour tortillas stuffed into a styrofoam to-go box side by side, lime and sauce on the side. Nothing to complain about.

-Food Quality: All ingredients seem very fresh and of high quality.

-Taste: I just didn't enjoy the taste, it was too powerful with cillantro and onions and the seasoning of the meat was somehow underwhelming. The only ingredients by default are cillantro and onions plus the meat of choice. I didnt realize that it didn't come with cheese without explicitly requesting it which is my fault but unusual for me. Perhaps I enjoy a more American version of this dish with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, avacodo, etc.

Customer service sucks 2 bad experiences first time I ordered I sat there at the window for 12 min after ordering my food 12 min later she asked me if I've ordered yet then asked me if I've paid and gives me an attitude about it smh then gives me my order 5 min later second time the window was wide open and the lady's were just staring at me like what the hell was I doing there they never helped or even approached so I just drove off they act like the don't speak English or Spanish there if your going to order just get off or make sure you sign in take a number whatever the case bring some lawn chairs...
