Since I was in town, I decided to come here with my husband and my friend who lives in Vegas. I've had this place bookmarked because of their Flaming Halo Halo. Nonethless, I was craving sinigang after a long night out, so I was banking on Full House to do the job. We arrived around 1:15 pm on a Sunday thinking we'd be bypassing the lunch rush - but we were wrong. There wasn't anyone in front of us in line, but we did not get seated until 2:25 pm. We were a party of 3. I was starving, so I was a bit restless. I even had to walk out to walk around to a nearby Japanese mart just to keep myself busy and distracted from being so hungry. I think the thing with Filipino food is that it takes quite some time to cook - but not only that, a lot of Filipinos families like to just catch up and chit chat even when their done with their meals, so that also adds into the time. I almost felt like they were short staffed, but it honestly could've been just a smaller kitchen space. Not too sure, just don't come here hungry on the weekends.
Luckily, I already knew what we wanted to order right away, so we got our order going. The food didn't take super long, thank goodness. We started off with the Beef Shank Sinigang. Loved how sour the soup was, however, I feel like the big bone is nice for show and everything but can also be messy being in positioned in such a small soup pot. The meat was tender. There were lots of cartilage and tendon (which I love), so that's a plus. Next up, the Longonisa and Tocino were delicious. The Longonisa was the sweet, and the Tocino was less fatty than it normally is. The Truffle Lechon Fries were very gluttinous. The crispy lechon pieces were great, however, I don't know where the truffle comes into play. I think there were a lot of flavors going on, but still enjoyable. The Oxtail Adobo Fried Rice would be hard to mess up. Flavorful and good to even eat by itself. The sisig was nice and sizzling! Tasty and delicious with a lemon spritz. Got to enjoy some nice crispy bits, as well. To end off our late lunch, we had to order the infamous Flaming Halo Halo. The presentation was beautiful, and loved the fire flare. What sets this halo halo apart from other spots is that they add corn and cantaloupe. Not sure if we were much fans of those additions. On the other hand, we did enjoy the flan, the nata de coco (my absolute fave), the ube ice cream, and the crispy pandan rice bits. My husband had also ordered the Calamansi Juice, but the juice was too sweet for us.
I'd probably come back to try other items, but preferably not during a busy time. The interior was a bit confusing. There was a vase full of bullets, a horse statue, and lots of wooden boxes. I guess its supposed to be reminiscen of the countryside or ranch living of the Philippines. The service was decent, but could be better. They were friendly though. Not recommended for big parties, most tables are best for 2-4 people. However, there was a party of 8 that I did see during my visit. There is lots of free parking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: 11/30/24 Man, every time I visit Full House it seems like it goes downhill for my boyfriend and I.
We stopped by because we wanted Filipino Food and we were in the area. I wanted to eat at the Thai restaurant in the same complex but decidde on Filipino.
This time around I ordered the Pork Adobo and Torta Talong. The torta talong was yummy. I enjoyed every bite. However, the adobo was the worse we ever had. And mind you, I love pork and my BF is not hard to please when it comes to adobo.
My first bite the adobo was cold on the inside despite it being served on a sizzling platter. I cut the huge pork into smaller pieces so that it could warm up. The flavor lacked. It seemed like it didn't have any vinegar or soy sauce taste. The sauce consistency was like the lechon sauce. It seemed like a Chinese tasting dish instead. But, the presentation of serving the dish on a sizzling platter was impressive.
ā------ Update:
ā--Been here a few times and unfortunately, the food was not as good, and I had to update my review. Visited last week, and I wanted to eat Pork Adobo. This time around, I ordered the adobo, fried pork bicol express, and the lumpia. The adobo lacked flavor and very bland, the lumpia was under cooked on the inside that we didn't eat it all but the bicol express tasted delicious with a nice kick to it. That was my favorite. Would I return or recommend? Meh...
As a new resident of Las Vegas, I'm in search for the best restaurants this City has to offer.
This adventure took me to Full House BBQ because of the high ratings oh and I wanted to eat Filipino food.
Service was good. She was very nice and pleasant.
Food: Longaniza Lumpia Shanghai Tokwat Baboy Sisig
My favorite was the tokwat baboy. It had fried tofu and pork with vinegar. Yummy. The sisig was my 2nd favorite and I was not a fan of the lumpia.
There's a cute back drop photo booth if you wanna take photos. Cute decor. I will definitely recommend and return when I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām very disappointed with how much their service has dwindled down over the years. Our first time here a couple years ago I was very satisfied with everything from their food to their staff to the cute decor inside. Our second time around our food took an hour to come out for 2 people. No, we did not order the whole menu. And we were the the only customers there. When we received our order, their food definitely lost quality as well.
Our 3rd time around (our most recent visit), I figured weād give them another shot and I had high hopes. As soon as we walked in, one side was filled with a large family and on the platform were 2 tables put together and is reserved. We were told we could sit at the reserved table but need to be done eating by 2pm. It was already close to 1:30 pm and with our last experience of having to wait a whole hour for our food, we decided not to eat here as it was the logical thing to do. If we had taken the reserved tables and have taken longer than expected, would they have booted us from the table because itās past our time limit or would they have made the people who had reserved the tables wait. Itās just terrible customer service. I will no longer be coming back here due to their inconsistency of their service.
I recommend reserving ahead of time if you want to give this place a try because the place is already so small and a whole family can take over one side of the restaurant. Theyāre incapable of accommodating multiple groups. Or just save yourself a headache and just go to Fiesta Filipina Cuisine down the road like we did. Their food there was delicious and the place...
