Table 44/1, check 1106, server: Julia R, 8:50 am
This was by far the worst place we could have picked to have breakfast this last Sunday morning, July 5, 2014. My husband and I have spent the last four yrs traveling around California and have now found ourselves in Las Vegas for the next couple of months.
Good new first! There was no waiting, we got seated right away. And a gal took our drink order and said our server would be over shortly.
Then it began.....we waited for our server, who was Julia R, finally she took our order. I ordered two eggs over med/well, 2-bacon, well done hash browns and a pancake to be brought towards the end of our meal so I could eat it while it was still hot. My husband ordered the same thing only his pancake w/his breakfast. What we got....Me, 2-eggs well done over super well done/cold, burnt hash browns that I almost broke a tooth trying to eat, bacon tasted good however way to much fat on it. Husband, his 2-eggs were over easy/easy/cold, bacon under cooked and mostly fat under cooked hash browns and a cold pancake....butter wouldn't even melt on top.Speaking of that, as we sat waiting for our food we noticed that all the pancakes that were severed to the tables around us their butter wasn't melting either. We waited and waited for Julia to at least walk by our table so we could speak to her about our meals, she must have taken a break, she was MIA for quite some time. Needless to say we did not eat our breakfast and I also canceled my pancake, Julia said she would take it off the bill however we were charged the same price for both of our meals. The only time Julia stopped by our table was to take our order, drop our food off and leave a check, which at that time we asked for our drinks to go....at 3.00 bucks each and no refills the while we sat at the table, I mean....really! We left hungry and our total bill was 27.85, why my husband left a 3.00 tip is beyond me. I've worked in the service industry before and I would have left, one penny period....and that say's it all right there. That was our last visit to ANY Ihop ever again.
Shame on the cooks!!! They should head on over to Arizona Charley's/B-Sourdough Cafe to learn how to cook a...
Read moreI haven't really had a decent experience at any of the IHop restaurants here in Las Vegas but this one is by far the worse. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I came here with friends visiting out of town (and they wanted IHop) so this was the closest location from their hotel. The music was extremely loud I could barely hear my friends so we kindly asked the waitress if they could turn it down a bit so she laughed and said she would go see if she could. She never came back and we had to get the manager who rudely tells us we were the only ones complaining about it and I was like really? I could barely hear you. He turned it down and we continue to wait for our food. The waitress never came back so another girl comes and places the check on our table. Um we haven't even received our food and already we have a check? We asked for the manager again and he goes to ask the waitress what happened and she said she thought we asked for it. ??? We never even spoke to this new waitress and the other one just disappeared. Why did she think we needed our check now when we didn't even get our food yet. The manager said the other waitress left and that the new one was going to take care of us. Couldn't the other just have told us she was leaving or the new one could have said that too and introduce herself? Anyway our food did not come out all at once which is always a big mistake to do anywhere because a group always wants to eat together don't you think? That's why a group goes to a restaurant together so they can all enjoy their food as a group. Mine came out first and my friends had to chase down their orders. The food was okay but we were done with their lack of customer service. We took the rest to go and left. We didn't even bother taking to their joke of a manager since we could clearly see he didn't know how to do...
Read moreWe arrived and only one other family was there making us excited for quick service. Sadly, they had reduced staff by 6 and it took a while longer to get our drinks and then our food. As we settled in with our kids, my wife found a dead cockroach on the dining room floor. We were excited to eat out as a family so we pushed through.
Well, my biggest complaint was the price. Kids meals were between $9-10 but we got charged for kids drinks. My wife and I ordered drinks with our combos only to find out we also got billed. In the end our kids meals which consisted of one pancake and two sausages plus the drink cost us around $13-15 per kid. Which is ridiculous! The adult combos cost us around $25 a piece once you add the drinks in with our omelets. This is horrible pricing to food value and it really makes IHOP a non-family friendly place. Combos should come with a drink, as should kids meals if you're going to be pricing your food for higher quality dishes from other higher end restaurants.
The staff was ok and pricing isn't their fault. I don't blame them for this complaint but their pricing team is only hurting their patrons. Let us know when you become family...
