I understand a lot of places can have a bad night. However, usually when there are several issues there is a management presence or an attentive, empathetic server that will try their best to rectify the situation. Mothers Day for Il Toro was a day from hell for the team working upstairs.
We had reservations at 6PM and were sat early at around 5:50PM upstairs. Unfortunately the restaurant operated on a reduced menu for Mother's Day. Disappointing, but not going to let that dampen the celebration. We placed orders quickly with two appetizers, within 10 minutes we placed our orders for our entrees. We waited over 1 hour with our entrées coming out with no sign of appetizers. Server came up to us talking about a computer problem that the appetizers were not sent down. Server instead of apologizing just asked if we still wanted them. We responded yes.
Our entrées were Linguini Vongle, Pasta Conac Erica (steak medium rare), Combination #1 (Chile Relleno, Beef Taco, Chicken Enchilada). The only dish that came out correctly was the Linguini Vongle, which my wife liked. The Pasta Conac Erica came out with BLUE steak, which is really hard to do because the steak is sliced on top of the pasta with barely any sauce. Took a minute to flag down a server. I had a new plate well done steak with sauce in 15 minutes. Better than blue, I enjoyed it well enough. The Combination #1 came out with a cold Chile Relleno and cold Chicken Enchilada. This was my mother in law's dish and she decided not to fuss with it opting to take it home.
We received the appetizers shortly after I received my redone Pasta Conac Erica. The Calamari had the wrong sauce. We ordered the spicy guacamole sauce. The jalapeños did not have any of the seeds removed so they were far too spicy with the calamari. My mother in law thought the Ceviche was good.
Around us others were not as lucky as us. Two full tables separately had their entire order dropped and had to wait 25 minutes for replacements to be made. They both argued for a considerable amount of time to get a slight discount on their meal. The people behind us who came prior to us arriving didn't receive their food until at least 20 minutes after us because of computer issues. They also had to argue for a slight discount.
When the bill arrived, there were no ammendments, no discounts, no comps. I didn't want to spend my time arguing with the server like the rest of the tables around me. It was Mother's Day and if it was going to be a battle, it was not worth it in front of my wife and mother-in-law.
The most disappointing part was there was no management presence upstairs. All tables around me had very large issues with their meal and no one was there to check up with us and rectify the situation. We were no offered apologies and were only given a technical explanation. Be proactive when issues arise and make your customers feel welcome. Comp an appetizers, send a dessert. Talk to your guests.
For Mother's Day, it was obvious the restaurant was woefully unprepared. I hope this is a one time issue because my family loves going to the Lindo Michoacan...

This is a 1st time visit. I’ve noticed this restaurant over the last couple of years and thought it might be interesting to try. This review is strictly for the lunch buffet on a Wednesday. The place had a few people there when we arrived but got rather busy during our meal.
Atmosphere: 5⭐️ The restaurant looks great. A lot of time, effort and money went into the decor. And although we were there for a lunch buffet, I could see taking my loved one there for a nice dinner date.
Cleanliness: 4⭐️ Everything seemed rather clean. The tables were bused rather quickly and when people left they were also cleaned quickly. The buffet line was also kept very clean. I didn’t not use the restroom to see the cleanliness.
Service: 4⭐️ There seems to be quite a few people working there and everyone is constantly tending to tables bussing, cleaning and refilling drinks. Our waiter talked to us for a few minutes and was rather friendly.
Food Quality and taste: 4.5⭐️ Everything I ate was good and a few things were great. This place is supposed to be a fusion of Mexican and Italian. But the buffet line had either Mexican dishes or Italian. I’m not sure if the regular menu has fusion dishes. Since there were a lot of patrons, the food is constantly being replenished and never sitting out for very long, which is a plus for the quality. Pizza was rather good and not something you would get at a buffet. The self assembled tostadas were great. Chili verde was great. Marinara and Alfredo pastas were good as with the beef fajitas.
Price/value: 4⭐️ As of Sept2025, $18 before tax. And in this era of “no cheap places to eat in Vegas”, it is not bad for the quality and taste.
Summary: Overall my experience was very good. Will I come back? Yes. And I would hope that there are different items to try on...

After parking and able to appreciate the exterior I was impressed. Walking in we were getting by 2 pleasant smiling genuinely nice young hostesses. Immediately there is a lot to take in with the presentation and attention to decorating. There is a small roaming musical ensemble again smiling and seemingly enjoying what they do. Once seated you begin to realize the size of the restaurant. It actually has 2 levels with decorative spiral staircase. There is a full bar as well and has seating. I could go on but you just need to experience it for yourself.
Wait staff (Angel) is a breath of fresh air. Old ways nearly white glove affair. Respectful but helpful and congenial. Assistants were nearly at your elbow, watchful and anticipated your needs. The menu is full of things you will want to try but too much for one sitting. Oh well, will just need to come back again and again. It is definitely an interesting Italian/Mexican fusion - Osso Bucco Fajitas and Flan Brulle. Bread for the table was mixed with chips accompanied by salsa and oil/ vinegar.
We started with Vongole In Brodetto. Save some bread for dipping. They had Osso Bucco but in risotto. I noticed another dish was made with Pappardelle pasta. I asked the waiter if he thought the chef with possibly modify the Osso Bucco and swap Pappardelle for the risotto. He quickly came and stated it would not be a problem. As I posted before I really enjoy the pasta over the risotto and I know this request might not be welcomed, however, it came out perfectly plated. Flavors were wonderful and we really had an enjoyable dinner, already planning or next visit at the table. My dish was so filling I couldn't try the Flan Brulle😭
Again the service and room were great, the food done very well. Highly...
