Date Visited: March 10, 2023 If you're on the hunt for a dining experience that combines innovation, fresh flavors, and a touch of Las Vegas flair, The Nori Hand Roll Bar in Las Vegas should be at the top of your list. This hand-roll haven in the heart of the city brings a whole new level of excitement to sushi dining.
The Nori Hand Roll Bar seamlessly blends the vibrancy of Las Vegas with a modern, chic aesthetic. As you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting atmosphere, characterized by sleek décor, comfortable seating, and a lively buzz. The centerpiece is undoubtedly the hand-roll counter, where talented chefs craft each roll with precision and flair. The dimmed lighting and stylish bar create the perfect ambiance for a memorable evening.
The service at The Nori Hand Roll Bar is nothing short of exceptional. The staff is not only attentive but also incredibly passionate about what they do. The attention to detail and friendliness of the staff elevate the overall experience.
Let's focus on the star of the meal - the hand rolls! At the Nori Hand Roll Bar, they pride themselves on offering a wide range of fresh ingredients to create your ideal hand rolls. My personal favorite is The Nori Specialty Set, which includes a Spicy Salmon Handroll, an Eel Handroll, a Kanpachi Asparagus Handroll, a Spicy Tuna Handroll, and a Miso Eggplant Handroll.
The Spicy Salmon Handroll was a mouthwatering masterpiece. The salmon was incredibly fresh, and the spicy mayo added the perfect amount of kick without overpowering the delicate flavors of the fish. The crisp seaweed wrapper provided an excellent contrast in texture.
The Eel Handroll was sent from heaven. The eel was perfectly grilled, giving it a smoky and slightly sweet flavor. The unagi sauce drizzled over it was a sweet and savory symphony. This handroll was pure indulgence.
The Kanpachi Asparagus Handroll rattled my palate. The Kanpachi (Amberjack) was buttery and fresh, and the addition of asparagus brought a crisp, earthy note to the roll. The combination of flavors was perfectly balanced.
The Spicy Tuna Handroll was a spicy tuna lover's dream. The tuna was tender, and the spicy sauce had just the right amount of heat. Each bite was a burst of umami and spice that left a lasting impression.
The Miso Eggplant Handroll was a vegetarian delight. The miso-glazed eggplant was rich and savory, and it paired beautifully with the freshness of the rice and seaweed. Even non-vegetarians would appreciate the complexity of flavors in this roll.
Overall impression of the Nori Handroll Sets is a form of omakase of handrolls to display the dedication of the chefs. Each handroll was a work of art, combining the freshest ingredients with precise technique. What truly sets this restaurant apart is its ability to balance flavors and textures, creating a harmonious culinary experience. Also, a miso soup is complimentary when you order the handroll sets.
Considering the quality and creativity of the hand rolls, the pricing at The Nori Hand Roll Bar is fair and competitive for the Las Vegas dining scene. It's an excellent value for the exceptional experience.
In conclusion, The Nori Hand Roll Bar in Las Vegas shines bright as dining destination for those seeking a one-of-a-kind culinary adventure. The interactive nature of crafting your hand rolls, combined with outstanding service and top-tier ingredients, makes this restaurant a must-visit when in Las Vegas. Whether you're looking to enjoy a unique meal with friends or a romantic dinner, The Nori Hand Roll Bar delivers on all fronts. Prepare to be dazzled by the fusion of Vegas excitement and hand-rolled sushi mastery. Highly...
Read moreI sometimes look for places to eat depending on my current location. I was at a tattoo shop on Tropicana and Decatur accompanying my wife when I got super hungry and decided to do a Yelp! search of nearby restaurants. I had seen the sign of The Nori a while back, before they opened and was quite curious about this place. Once my wife was finished with her tattoo, we drove down to the Nori. It was busy-ish (Saturday lunchtime) but we were seated at the bar immediately. Perfect, because we had another appointment in less than an hour. I already knew what I wanted after perusing the photos on Yelp but my wife did not. She ended up getting the beginner nori set, while I got the Nori lovers set. Both sets came with miso soup. We shared the salmon poke with housemade chips. Everything I had here was pretty good. Nothing was amazing or mind blowing so I definitely see where all the reviews of people being underwhelmed are coming from. For the price point, I would expect the fish to be fresher. The portions are quite big, and we were both full after having each of our sets and the poke and chips. The service was great from start to finish. Would I come back here? Maybe if I was in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way...
Read moreFirst-time customer who tried The Nori based on a recommendation from a friend who is a chef at one of the top Japanese restaurants in Las Vegas. Since it was my first time, I wanted to try a bunch of different stuff so I ordered the "Nori Lover" handroll set, silken tofu, salmon carpaccio, shrimp & vegetable tempura, and chicken karaage. All the dishes were (without exception) very good in everyway. Portion sizes were also very good. Overall, really great food, good portion sizes, fantastic and friendly service, and amazing prices (even before the 30% discount from 3pm to 7pm). I feel like I had a fantastic $100+ meal for two (maybe three) people for only $40...amazing. I'm sure I'll be back often.
UPDATE: Went back after a few days and ordered the silken tofu (again), the "Nori Lover" handroll set (again), hamachi crudo (four portions because it was so good), and several handrolls (salmon poke, uni and o toro, and dynamite). Everything was really great, especially the hamachi crudo. Will go...
