I recently indulged in the corned beef hash paired with perfectly cooked eggs, and each bite was a revelation. The hash was crispy on the edges while maintaining a tender, flavorful core, beautifully complemented by the richness of the eggs. I savored a glass of fresh watermelon and strawberry juice, an invigorating elixir bursting with vibrant flavor that was refreshingly delicious and the ideal counterbalance to my savory meal. But the real surprise was their signature pastry, the "Cup of Bread"—a playful and inventive take on a cinnamon roll. Warm, decadently soft, and slightly gooey, it coaxed me into savoring breakfast just a little longer, making each bite an indulgent delight. It's this playful and inventive spirit that makes every visit to Rise and Shine a unique and exciting experience.

Read more1st time and last time. This is the worst breakfast I have ever had and it's also over priced. I literally just got home and puked it all up, my stomach is still cramping.
This morning they weren't serving omelettes or poached eggs due to the grill or something not working. That should have been our cue to go, but we stayed, I am regretting it right now which is why I'm writing this review.
We asked for water with lemon. The lemon they brought for the water looked like it sat in the fridge for days, it was hard and appeared dehydrated.
I wanted an omelette for breakfast, since that option wasn't available, I tried the seasoned steak chillaquilla's with scrambled eggs. In retrospect, I should have asked how the eggs were cooked since they couldn't cook eggs this morning. Nonetheless, the dish didn't look appealing once it came, the red sauce was too acidic and over seasoned, the scrambled eggs heaped on top of everything were flavorless and gross (to much eggs), the refried beans tasted old, there were no toppings (onions, cilantro, etc) just a slice of avocado, side of salsa, and sour cream, the steak was served on the side versus included in the dish. It was disappointing. I couldn't even eat half of it, I only ate what I did because I was hungry. This meal was lacking too many things for such a simple dish. I'm glad I didn't try to eat all of it, I'd probably be in the hospital getting my stomach pumped.
My husband got the chicken biscuits and gravy with hash browns well done. His plate was also heaping with overloaded, scrambled eggs. Pretty Gross🤢. Underneath the chicken was one slice of half a biscuit, not even a whole biscuit. The hash browns were cooked but in-between bites were cold pieces.
My son had a silver dollar kid's pancake, the middle of his pancake was undercooked.
I'm not sure why this place even has 4 stars, maybe they have better plates than the ones we chose, but we won't be back to find out.

Read moreI have never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. There were plenty of open tables in the front, yet the hostess, who was unfriendly from the start, walked us past all of them and put us in the very back corner. Moments later, another couple walked in and was immediately seated up front.
When I asked our waitress why, she said the other tables were dirty, which was not true because I could clearly see several clean ones. I even pointed to the couple seated where everyone else was being placed. She kindly offered to move us, but by then the damage was done and we decided to leave. This was not the waitress’s fault. She was kind and apologetic. I forgot to get her name but she was wearing an avocado outfit. This happened this morning.
As Hispanics, it is hard to ignore the feeling that we were treated differently because of who we are. Whether intentional or not, the message was clear. We were not valued customers. I am not someone who usually complains or takes things personally, but this was strange and disappointing. The hostess could have easily seated us in a middle booth if she did not want us up front, but instead she chose the far back corner, which was the ugliest part of the restaurant.
I was so excited to come here and had told my mom how nice it looked. I even planned to take pictures, but where we were seated, there was nothing worth photographing. Unfortunately, we did not even get to try the food, and we will...
