Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Enterprise

I’ve been to this location multiple times never having a great experience but the last visit was the last time I’ll give my business to this location. The girl working was not kind or helpful. I asked for the custard which she said “we are out.” Totally get that- but it’s what I came in for so I asked when it would be ready to serve which she came back with “I don’t know... not today though.” It was barely early afternoon. I then asked about flavors in the case- which she said “honestly I don’t know what flavor it is- I would have to text my manager.” Not the most encouraging statement. I asked a few more questions but I could tell she was annoyed by my questions, so I picked a flavor quickly to just be done. When she handed me the cup the custard was already melting over the sides- while I appreciated the generous helping, she stood and watched me as I cleaned up the mess she gave me along with what fell on the counter. No help or offer to help- just watching me struggle. As a paying customer, I do expect to have some sort of kindness and helpfulness when I am giving you my business. I understand that it is “only $5 worth of custard” but some level of customer service instead of treating someone as an burden will get you a long way. I truly hope this location steps up on there employee training as this is not my first...

I was back in my home town for a funeral and before the end of the night I was looking for a place to get Italian ice. I arrived to a customer very upset and being calmed down by another (new) customer. The lady explained she waited and waited in line and then came 8:35pm the girl at the window said they were closed. I didn't see this but the lady who was comforting her was witness. Then a employee from the store next to the establishment informed us that they were in fact not closed they were open until 9pm(as it also said on Google maps). The employee also explained to us the closing procedures that take place each night when they actually are closed. All I know is that there had to be a better way to handle this upset guest or not. Take one more person and then they also lost 3 customers in the process aside from the original upset guest. This was a shock and I was upset I didn't even get to try something new back in...

Rita’s is my favorite ice cream but I haven’t been able to try it here because they’re CONSTANTLY having issues. One time they closed at 6pm even though online it said 9 and the sign on their window said 8. The girl working said it was for the holiday weekend but why didn’t they update their sign?! Went in the next day and they said their ice cream machine was down now. When I asked when it would be fix the person working seemed like he had no idea what was going on and said it may be down for weeks?!
