My family and I stood and waited 5-10 minutes. There were 3 workers. 2 out of 3 were working drive thru and the “General Manager” stood working in the back. The two working in the drive thru walked by the counter and even made eye connect with us. Didn’t say a word to us. The “General Manager” even saw us and didn’t say anything either. One of the gentleman who was working the drive thru turned around and stood there and we asked if we could order food. He walked over and gave us attitude, “What can I get you?” While holding hands out to his side. We explained we waited 5-10 minutes and continued with the attitude. We asked for a manager and he stood there and rolled his eyes. We asked again and when we walked away the eyes were rolled again. I took my kids to the car and my husband talked to the “Manager” and my husband stayed in to talk to the manager. The manager claimed they had a big order and have to help the drive thru first; when we pulled up there were no cars in the drive thru. While we were waiting there were 3 orders on the screen. None of them where big orders; maybe 4 items. For one, if you were that “busy with a big order,” something should have been said such as, “We’ll be right with you.” Not just walking by or even standing there looking at your customers like we’re stupid. That for sure is not customer service and for a position as a “manager/general manager” you should have apologized or corrected the attitude of your workers or situation. I know that for a fact, I’ve been in customer service field from taking orders to...
Read moreI wanted to love this Popeyes. I remember taking trips to Louisiana with my family as a kid, and Popeyes was our very first stop every time. I was thrilled to see this one being built. I've just not had a great experience yet, and it's been open for years. I keep hoping.
After a few bumpy visits, I took a few years off from Popeyes. This was my first visit back. I went to the drive-thru. I could barely hear the guy. I had my radio off, my air off, my car off, and I still couldn't hear him. My hearing is perfect, so I can only imagine how miserable the experience would have been if I had poorer hearing. We managed to get through the order eventually. I got an order of biscuits and a side of mashed potatoes (which I know aren't made to order and are prepped ahead of time) and a chicken sandwich. I wasn't ordering catering or a family feast.
I pulled up to the window and paid. Then he asked me to park by the front door. Nothing riles me up quite like being asked to park when I go to the drive-thru. Is this the new 2023 "drive-thru" standard? It's a "drive-then-park"? I reluctantly agreed and helped them cheat their clocked times. I parked. I watched the next 9 cars go through the "drive-thru" and leave. Each car raised the frustration level. What could those 9 cars have ordered? Should I have skipped the chicken? Isn't it called "Popeyes CHICKEN"?! What was taking so long??
I'm in no hurry to ever return. This area has some really great restaurants that aren't chains and aren't "fast food" that taste better and are...
Read moreOuch. Ordered online after golf with my sons and brought the food home. Always liked Popeyes but this place was rough. Went to the drive-thru to pick up our online order and it wasn’t done. Waited for 30-35 minutes in the parking lot. They locked the doors and turned off the lights so I couldn’t go inside and check on our food. They still were open for another hour but I guess they wanted people to think they were closed? Order was wrong and what they did get right was bad news. I remember thinking, “at least what we’ll get will be fresh” (due to the wait). Got a 12-piece meal - not a SINGLE piece of dark meat even though I asked specifically. 4 wings and 8 breasts. Chicken wasn’t gruesome, but it wasn’t too fresh (why the wait?). I calculated a 40 minute festering time. 2 of the 3 chicken sandwiches were throw-aways. Bottom bun was over-cooked and rock hard. Top bun was soggy. Chicken patty was cold. They didn’t have the apple pies that I ordered. You’d figure they could make 2 in the 30-35 minutes I waited (50 minutes total from time I ordered).
My impression: two ladies (one was nice) wanted to go home early. They didn’t want to be troubled at 9:00 when the store closed at 10:00. They don’t care about their customers. Good reviews are obviously written by owners or staff.
Very surprised Popeyes allows this franchise to exist. It gives them a bad name. Won’t be have ANY Popeyes’s ANYWHERE any time soon. Too bad.
Really glad I’m not blowing chunks today or taking liquid dumps....
