I was really excited to see a new boba shop open up close to home, but after giving it two tries, I’m disappointed—mainly because of the boba quality.
On my first visit around 5:30pm, I tried the Taro Sweet Pearls Special ($7.60 + tax = $8.27). Pricey, but I was open to trying something different. They explained that they use a natural form of taro, not the typical purple, artificially colored kind, which I actually appreciated. The drink itself was decent, but the boba was a letdown. It was hard in the center, not warm, not sweet, and didn’t have that signature QQ chewiness you expect from fresh boba.
I contacted the store and spoke with the GM, who was kind and encouraged me to give them another try. I appreciated that, and since this is a small business, I decided to go back.
The second time, I visited earlier in the day (around 11:30am) hoping the boba would be fresher. I ordered the Jasmine Green Milk Tea. The drink was good, but again—the boba was exactly the same. Still not fresh, still hard in the middle, and lacking flavor and texture.
Unfortunately, the boba quality just isn’t there for me, and at nearly $10 a drink, that matters. I won’t be returning, but I do wish them the best and hope they’re able to improve things...

My only complaint would be that the Boba pearls themselves don’t have much flavor and aren’t very sweet compared to the other bubble places that I have been to in the Denver and lower regions.
The oolong boba tea is always a solid choice and the mango tea with boba is also a second, but again I am not a fan of the boba pearls at this location...
