Alberto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Escondido

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and disgust with the experience I had at your establishment. I recently ordered a meal that included nachos, and to my horror, I found not one, but four hairs in my food. To make matters worse, I also discovered three to four hairs prior to the picture being taken which are wrapped in the napkin .

I immediately called to inform your staff of this disgusting and upsetting discovery, and while they offered to replace my meal, there was no way I could bring myself to return to your establishment. Instead, I am forced to take this as a $20 nacho lesson learned.

This incident is a prime example of the complete lack of care exhibited by your staff and management. It is unacceptable that no one wears hairnets or gloves while handling food, and it is even more concerning that the same person who covers the to-go booth and handles payments also prepares the food. As a culinary Director I can absolutely assure you those are not standards that a San Diego health official would look the other way for.

As a regular customer, I have dined in at your establishment before, but this experience has left me with a feeling of disgust and distrust. If someone is really hungry late at night, there are other fast food options nearby, such as Jack in the Box or McDonald's, which offer much better quality and cleanliness standards.

I hope that you take this complaint seriously and take immediate action to ensure that your staff follows proper hygiene protocols and takes necessary precautions to prevent incidents like this from happening in the future. We just got a late night snack. Two breakfast burritos. I've eaten here a number of times and it was very good, but this time, the amount of oil. It was disgusting. I have no earthly idea how they pulled this off. It was like the tortilla was an oil pocket. The egg, sausage and cheese was kinda just floating in it. The bag and multiple papers the bag was sitting on were completely saturated in oil. Streams of oil on your hands from one bite. Neither of us could really get far into these burritos. Horrible store. I ordered my food without onions due to a food allergy and sure enough they put onions on it. When I called to tell them about the mistake I was called a lier. When I asked to speak with a manager I was hung up on. Once I called back and asked to speak to the manager again, the woman told me that there was no manager and hung up again. So obviously I called back again. This time the same girl answered and told me that the manager wouldnt be there until the next day. So I asked for her name(so I could let the manager know who I had been dealing with) and she hung up on me AGAIN. I am beyond pissed and seeking...
