Del Taco — Restaurant in Escondido

This Del Taco is top-notch! I have been to many throughout Southern California and to all 3 locations in Escondido. The E. Valley Parkway location is far and away the best! It all starts with the staff. The manager, Celestino has been there for over 20 years, he’s extremely friendly, knows me by name and makes me feel welcomed and appreciated each and every visit. The food portions are much fresher and more generous than any other Del taco location, it’s VERY noticeable. If I request a dozen or more hot sauces, they don’t think twice and don’t skimp on the little things. I will literally go out of my way in order to eat at the E. Valley location because it’s such a better product and experience. The restaurant itself is always clean and tidy, you can tell they pay attention to all the little details. The rest of the staff is always professional and helpful, I’ve never come across a bad employee. I rarely ever submit reviews, but felt compelled to do so for this Del Taco since they continue to surpass my expectations year after year. I recommend everyone try it out. WOW! Truly impressed. Del Taco really blows the competition out of the water! Visited DT after a decade-long absence and was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience. The place was spotless inside and out. The food was the freshest, best quality I've had at any chain restaurant. The prices are very reasonable too. Definitely will be returning frequently! I ordered a couple of items off the drive-thru menu And I memorized the price. When I arrived at the window I know I was being overcharged and I tried to educate them on that but they refused to take my word for it. So I paid for the overpriced items. Park my car took a picture of the drive-thru menu with the pricing that was correct. Walk inside talk to the manager to tell him I was overcharged at first he did not agree until I showed proof of the price on their menu.
