Mikki's Cafe — Restaurant in Escondido

Don't get me wrong, the atmosphere was great. I like that instead of a corporate style cup. I got a somewhat personalized cup in a way. I didn't like that. It took a bit to get served just because I was sitting in the back area. The lady who served us was really nice. One we got served. The food was okay. The bacon lacked the flavor of bacon. Maybe just how they cook it. The eggs were okay and needed a little more seasoning. The Waffles tasted just like flour, not in a bad way. It's just felt like they did not add cinnamon or anything that would make them enhanced. All in all, my experience was good, just the food lacked flavor. I love to try cafe and diner and unfortunately food taste was lacking. The workers were kind. The price was a little high, but with inflation, I get why. My husband and I moved up to escondido a few months ago, and this has been our favorite breakfast place near us. The staff has always been extremely nice and the food has been really good. Idk if they were too busy or what, but today was different. The potatoes was under cooked, my eggs were clear and runny. Our waitress, whom I've never seen before, replaces my eggs, but they are way overcooked when i got them back. I ordered over medium and it was a flat hockey puck no runny yolks. She clearly saw that I did NOT eat my eggs and was not happy with my food, which i didnt eat. She neither offered to take it off my bill or offered to get me a replacement. Came in to use the restroom first before I ordered, the server behind the counter said it was for customers only, I said okay after I use the restroom. She said that I had to order first and was asking me to look at the menu. I said I will after I use the restroom so I proceeded to the restroom. Next thing you know there was a loud knock by another woman on the door and she was shouting that the restroom was for customers only. So I stopped using the restroom and told the woman what the fudge are you doing. She called me an fudge hole and told me to get the fudge out of there and that I was unwelcome.
