Albee's NY Gyros — Restaurant in Eugene

I have been here a lot and the food is usually exceptional. It was this time too, but the service was bad. You are supposed to order at the register, but the two employees waited to take me and my friend's order till after they had finished making the customer's food that got there before us. We weren't the only ones that had to endure through this either. After we sat, a large line formed, and I saw two guys wait at least 30-40 minutes to order their food and recieve it, because they did the same to them.

I get first come, first serve, but at least take the order so it doesn't make people feel unnoticed. They apologized repeatedly as we stood there awkwardly silent at the register, watching them prepare someone else's food, and not one of them stopped to take my order. I am a very patient person when it comes to restaurants, but I was getting a little annoyed. Hopefully they step...

Having live in NY for many years and being a devoted fan of the lamb gyro, I went into this establishment for the first time last week with high expectations. I was met by very friendly staffers who did not disappoint. Along with the lamb gyro I also ordered up a garlic fry which was big enough to split with my sister and they were very good. The gyro was large enough to be filling on it's own so the split on the fries still worked out to be a bit more then we could eat and the gyro itself really packed in the Greek flavors I have loved and known in NY. Good job fellas, if I ever make it back to Oregon, I'll definitely hit...

I love this place. For me, it is the perfect gyro. The service is great too, they are really friendly and always greet me warmly. They are also quite fast, sometimes I am in and out the door in less than two minutes! I am not much for writing food reviews, but I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a great gyro.

Edit: Eight years later, this place is still great! Sort of a testament that they are still around actually, if you know this neighborhood you'll know how many joints popped up and then closed down in that same spot. Show them some love, get some good food, and bring...
