This was my first visit to Forresters. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado panini with no cheese and a side salad. The balsamic vinaigrette for the salad was excellent. The salad was good enough, with the usual items of lettuce tomato and cucumber and carrot shreds. The sandwich was almost inedible, but I finished most of it nonetheless because it cost me $17.99! I'm guessing that perhaps the cheese covers the wealth of problems on this sandwich. The sauce was so bad that I thought it must not be fresh and in fact might be going bad. I think the turkey also did not taste right and there was very little of it. It's listed as oven baked turkey, but it was served shredded and very minimally. There was no slice of turkey as one might expect from oven baked. Whatever they think they're doing with the concrete floors and whatever they've put on the tables, it all just looks dirty to me! There was loud, unpleasant music running and at least two TVs were on with just the picture I guess. I was hoping this might be my new steak place but, I won't be going back.

First time at Forresters. Love the fact that they have all-day breakfast, but all we wanted were some tasty apps and beers to wash down a bit of a hangover. The onion rings arrived somewhat warm but not hot. The potato skins arrived at the same temperature but really lacked flavor. Beer selection could be better as well. When we come back and try the breakfast, I'll update my review. The server was attentive and quick. Update: Came back for breakfast and had a much better food experience. We ordered the Haystack Skillet, which was delicious. The Farmlands Omelet is basically the Haystack Skillet in an Omelet. It was very, very good. Their gravy is a wee bit flour heavy, but it had good flavor. The Biscuit was fluffy and great under some gravy. Wasn't fond of the Bloody Mary, but it did the trick to send me home with a full belly for a lovely nap. Service was great as well. They earned at least one extra star on the food this go around. I'll definitely come back for breakfast. Great thing that they serve it all day!

We got the california Benedict, Spaghetti and meatballs and the fish plate. All weren't good. The fish plate was just a bunch of frozen battered food that they warmed up. The eggs Benedict was very plain and you can tell the ingredients are the cheapest of cheap. There wasn't anything special about it. It looked pretty because of the garnish, but everything fell flat. It was like I bought all the ingredients from the dollar store and tried to make them decent. The hashbrowns were obviously frozen and as if they were fried before hand and got freezer burnt or something. Again, didn't taste fresh and like uncleaned gmo potatoes. Fresh potato cooked like that would have been a lot better. The Spaghetti and meatballs tasted like a microwaved dinner. The sauce tasted like prego marinara sauce. It was disappointing. It looks pretty, the cooking was done right, but the ingredients were garbage and not fresh at all. It all tasted like it came from a soup kitchen and they tried to keep it as cheap as possible.

Mixed bag of experiences. I had real Hollandaise the first time I was there, I had to start with that. The breakfast menu had lots of great options, the service was attentive the first time I went (see update!) and there was no wait on a Sunday morning. The parking lot seemed crowded so I was afraid we wouldn't get a table but there was 1 open; it's a decent sized place. Be warned: no fancy coffees or real chai, which the server failed to mention when my guest ordered a chai and got a chai tea bag (not the same!). I am a tea person and got an Earl Grey that was clearly chosen by someone who is not a tea drinker. I should have stuck with water than have food service tea at 3.50 a pop. Other than that, it was very good and I would go back again. I would just have beverages at home first! Update! I had breakfast at Forrester's today and the service was so disappointing that I can safely say I will never go back. I was in the service industry for 20 years so I know something about the restaurant industry. The server seemed inpatient, annoyed, uninformed about beverage options, reached to take my plate without asking if I was finished (I wasn't), and said she would bring coffee refills but didn't for at least 10 minutes. It wasn't busy so there isn't that to blame. My friend said that this server had waited on her before and that she's "just like that." Nope. In a state where servers make minimum wage plus tips, that's just...

OMG. After posting my below review, I just read the reviews with a photo of this place storing their food supplies IN THEIR PUBLIC RESTROOMS. Check it out. How is this place still open? Unbelievable!

Super disappointed with their turkey thanksgiving dinner. I won't be going back to try anything else. Really small portions. Felt like I ordered from the child/senior menu. Not a slice or chunk of turkey to be found. It was all shredded and stringy dry white meat. Like what you'd use for soup. Looked like spaghetti with maybe a tablespoon of gravy. The turkey in a Hungryman frozen dinner is far superior. Sad. Stove top quality stuffing with like quality mashed potatoes. Again, maybe a tablespoon of gravy, and both of those items appeared to be portioned/served with a small ice cream scoop. Green beans were just ok. Whipped cream on the extremely tiny slice of pumpkin pie turned to soup during my 10 min drive home. Truly rest home portions and bad cafeteria quality. Total rip off imo. Shouldn't have tipped 20% on a pick up meal. Whole thing was $30 for the worst turkey dinner I've ever had. One extra star for the delightful woman who checked me in when I came...

Keep trying to eat at this place, but have given up. 2 different times we have asked if we could have outside seating because of a puppy. They said yes that seating was available and we said we were on our way. By the time we get there no seating is available. Wait times are then over 30minutes. Another time when we didn't have a puppy we said on our way and asked for reservation. They said no reservations needed, but they have seating available just to get there again and no seating was available. Super frustrating driving all the way into town, willing to make a reservation just to wait 30-45min for a seat when we call ahead of time and told they had space. They didn't act like they cared and they didn't even apologize the last time, the lady sounded like she was annoyed at us. I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt or 2nd chances, but after 3 times in a month it's just not worth it. We also had talked to a friend and they said the same thing happened to them a couple times too. We try to be understanding during weird times in the economy with the pandemic, but I'm also very busy and a lot of time, energy and gas had been wasted to have nothing to...
