It was a grey and nearly raining day. The four of us, in need of comfort and sustenance, made our way across the tundra of Eugene to THE FRIENDLY GARDEN. There, the quiet of the typical Eugene damp, seemed to recede into a mythical past. The possibility of warmth and comfort from the hipster type food pod beckoned - called to us, like a Sireen out of oh, brother where art thou. Indeed there is nothing hip about this place. Good food and good people entranced my cynical eye. We settled down for a slice each of Bartolotti's Pizza. Happy there is we chose this food of the gods experience. A very nearly Jersey slice. Read moreA pretty amazing collection of food trucks and a beer garden. I went with the Japanese noodles while my kiddo had a poke bowl. Said it was a little spicy since they didn't order anything spicy but nothing that was to the point they didn't eat it. A friend of mine had the root beer while his wife had a beer there which were both pretty amazing. I think he had pizza she had. Pizza said it was worth eating. The most fun part is you have a lot of different options for dinner ranging from the ones we mentioned. Also Mexican and I think there was a a curry place. Okay as well.
