This was my first time at the Pint Pot and it will be my last. It was a truly unfortunate experience all around. When we walked in we were not greeted nor acknowledged in any way. After waiting, I had to go back to the other room to find someone to take our order. I heard multiple times the waitress telling people that it was “shift change” and that’s why everything was taking so long. Even after shift change there was no difference in the speed of the service. When the meal arrived the mashed potatoes were cold. There were several tables waiting to have their orders be taken for an extended period of time, while the waitress was busy talking to her co workers. We had to go ask for the tab and after waiting again, finally just had to go to the other room to pay. We were five dollars short, unbeknownst to us, and the waitress came and yelled “you wanna finish paying your tab?” Instead of just telling us that we were five dollars short, as it was an honest mistake. I could not imagine that it would have cost $65 for what we got. She proceeded to be beyond rude and disrespectful, even going so far as to tell my mom “you might wanna lose some weight.” The owners should be ashamed for having an employee that would speak to a customer that way. I will never support a business with an employee that thinks it’s okay to fat shame someone. Disgusting and disappointing behavior. She deserves...
Read moreI ordered a bowl of Irish Srew with extra bread and a pint of Guinness. The stew was $10. Extra bread was $5. The pint was $6.50. Total cost after credit card fee was $22.15. Now you would think after spending over $22 you would leave feeling full and satisfied. Think again!... Starting with the stew. Stew to me is a hearty dish of vegetables, potatoes and meat of some kind in broth with seasonings. What they served me was more like soup with very little meat or vegetables. If that was stew than I'd hate to see what their soup looks like. Now for the bread. I received one small slice of bread that came with the stew and three extra slices of the same size for $5. I'm telling you these were very small slices of bread. I feel like I've over paid for that bread by as much as $2.50.
The Pint Pot Public House is an over priced, dinghy and dirty dive bar. The chair I was setting in was filthy. Good thing it was dark in there or I would have avoided it and sat somewhere else.
I can't recommend this bar and I won't go back. I left it feeling cheated and disappointed. Judging by previous reviews it youse to be a much nicer place. Now it's failing and in decline....
Read moreI wish there were different categories that I could rate for this restaurant. The food was amazing! You HAVE to try the scotch eggs. And the soda bread with the honey cinnamon butter is another can't miss item. The atmosphere and light music were great. However their service left much to be desired. We went during lunch and there were only a few other customers there. It took a really long time for the waitress to come take our order (I actually wondered if we were supposed to go up to the bar to order) The waitress was not friendly and kept getting on her phone. At the end she brought us our check, but when my sister and I wanted to pay we couldn't find her or anyone to check out with! I had to go to the door of the kitchen and ask the cook what we were supposed to do with our payment. Luckily we were paying cash so he said just to leave it on the counter. As we left the building we saw the waitress at the outdoor table next to the front door smoking and on her phone again. I wish I felt welcomed here because the food tastes so good. I am not sure if I will...
