"Good food ain't fast" as the sign says, but it's totally worth the wait!!! Our group of 9 visited Harold's on a Saturday in November. We had called ahead with our mobility and dietary concerns and their staff informed us that it was Diversity Weekend, so they could be busy but they'd be happy to see us. They recommended coming as early as we could so we arrived around 8:30/8:45 and there were plenty of tables available at that time. You order at the counter and then your name is called when your order is ready. Our group was able to snag the back room by the restroom which reminded me of my grandma's living room during my childhood. Board games were available on a corner shelf and a chess board was placed on the coffee table. The staff were incredibly accommodating and answered all of our questions. We ordered the last of the pumpkin pancakes which were the embodiment of fall, wow! The chef even came out to say hello and let us know they were nearing their one year anniversary. By the time we left, all of the tables were full. What a cool place!!!

If it is your first time in Eureka Springs, start with this place. You will learn a lot about the town and have wonderful friends all of a sudden. Ask for Josh’s grandma’s cherry coffee cake! It will blow your mind! Pancakes are awesome. I came in the first hours of the first year. It was full house, no space to sit. We had to wait a bit for the food because they don’t warm up the food, they make it all fresh, and it is all worth it! The pancake was the most fluffy and delicious one I have ever had. You must try it. Moreover: - all of their take home containers, bags are biodegradable - no plastic - they donate free food to people in need - they are super friendly - the atmosphere is so contagious that you become friends with other people while you wait, time becomes no issue Loved loved loved this place. If I would come Eureka Springs again, it would be for this place.

This diner was amazing! My grilled cheese was made with white cheddar and so oooey gooey delicious. Just what a grilled cheese should be. We shared the Hercules fries vegan style and that Bbq sauce was maybe the best I have ever had. To end it I got a chocolate hot fudge shake made with Mexican vanilla ice cream. The flavors of the sweet cinnamon with a hint of vanilla and rich chocolate sauce were the perfect way to end a meal in which we are celebrating such a special day. Also the waiter let me flip through records and I got to play the Muppet Movie Soundtrack. The atmosphere was like a step back into a simpler time reminiscent of Grandma or in their case Grandpa’s house. Photo included is my partners veggie burger. My grilled cheese disappeared too fast. This is a very special place and we felt very welcome .

I do not take well to being taken advantage of, and that's exactly how i felt here. The food was good. I can say that. It was good. However, the portion oze to cost was extremely disappointing. The cost on the menu for what was supposed to be a heafty breakfast was $18.95. Upon checkout, it was raised to more than $25.00. They said it was due to the cost of bacon, of which you only get 1 (one) slice. So, the cost of that plate was increased by $6.00 for one slice of bacon. It came with 2 oz of syrup for the pancakes. I asked for a little more and was told i would have to pay for it. All in all, i paid a little more than $35 for a single breakfast plate and 2 cups of coffee. Had my wife gotten breakfast, this single breakfast would have cost us more than $70. There is no service here. You serve yourself. But you do know that, until after you check out and leave a tip, because you pay for it when you order. When we picked our table, we even had to grab a spray bottle and rag to clean our own table. So, all in all, i paid more than $40 (tip included) for a $10-12 plate of food, two cups of coffee, had to clean my own table, and serve myself. That's $40 for a single breakfast serving. Not a family meal. I absolutely hate being taken advantage of. Know that i am not leaving this in a fit of rage. This is an honest, calm summary of...
