So disappointed to say the staff was nice but the room itself was a terribly disappointing & uncomfortable experience.

We got a king suite and were really excited to stay here for a special anniversary after staying all over Eureka.

The tiny pillows were almost as flat as the TV remote, lumpy and desperately needing replacement since around Y2K. The pillows were, frankly, shameful. Among the worst ever experienced.

The mattress was terribly uncomfortable, saggy and cupped in the middle. A support was broken on the bottom/middle of the bed frame. The sheet & blanket were worn out & paper thin.

The suites' two chairs were embarrassing and unusable, with busted springs and badly torn & stained seats.

Filled the bathtub, turned on the jets, and it immediately shorted out the bathroom lights!! Extremely uncomfortable having my bath water somehow affect the room’s electricity. And of course, we couldn't use an amenity that we'd specifically chosen & paid for.

Someone had taken two knobs off the bathtub soap dispenser and dumped them into one of the soap wells, and that’s how housekeeping left it for us… but they left a soap on top of the dispenser to make up for it? …thank you?

On top of all that, there was NO coffee in the room — but they carefully set up the coffee maker, creamers, cups, etc. (but no water). When I asked at the front, “oh yeah we’ve been out of coffee for over a week”. There was no warning about this. They did make some available in the lobby, but just another in a long list of careless neglected details.

The sand art glass frames above the doors is a nice visual, but they’re literally black duct-taped on, and some are separating, creating a fall hazard for guests. The fact that they decided to duct tape loose glass sheets immediately over where 100 year old thick doors shake the walls dozens of times a day is careless at best & negligent at worst.

Yes, both the street and the A/C are loud, and yes there's lots of stairs, but it's downtown Eureka Springs, these things should be well-expected. But the questionable fixes, thrashed furniture, shorted lights, coffee issues & World's Worst Bed™ are unacceptable for a Motel 6, let alone what should be a prestigious place.

For a supposedly nice four-star hotel, very little hinted that they care about guest's comfort, restfulness or rejuvenation. I hated to write this review, but this stay was a massive...

First the positives: Overall, the hotel seems clean. The bed linens were good quality, clean and fresh. Our bed had a six-inch memory foam topper (on top of what? I did not investigate.) The bedroom was ok. I love looking through old glass panels that have ripples in them, so it was perfectly ok that the blinds were up. The TV was cheap and small and sitting on the corner of the dresser. We weren't going to spend time watching TV anyway... especially not the limited selection. They could just as well have put a lovely volume or two of poetry in each room. So, the negative things: We paid (approx$30) more for a room with a jetted tub. My husband took one look at the 40-50 year old thing with the yellowing nozzles and said "nope." I insisted on giving it a try though. There were no directions, but I soon figured out how to fill it. I then found the center button where you could still faintly read the instruction to "push here" and then I tried several times. I was genuinely afraid I would break it if I pressed any harder than I already was doing. I called the desk to ask for instructions. "Ashley" or "Alice"??? said she'd come up. I'd already been sitting in deepish very warm water for quite awhile. I drained the tub and put on clothes. The woman first turned on the shower, so I could tell she didn't know how things worked, but she called someone and they talked her through it. She must have eventually given the little button the super-human push that was required, because we heard bubbling. By then, I was not even remotely interested in getting back into that old tub. I suggested crediting us the $30 upgrade charge. That seemed to really set her off. She left the room in a big huff saying she had worked 11 hours of a 12 hour shift and so on. Yes, they did offer a different room, but we were in no mood to do that. And, by the way, we were told that they were fully booked when we checked in, and that the tiny lot would soon be full, and our car might need to be moved around to accommodate all the extra cars. The lot remained half-full. I'm glad we insisted on keeping the keys to our vehicle. Anyway, by 7:30 or 8pm, we looked at one another and made the decision to check out and drive home. And that's what we did. Before leaving, we removed any trash or used items, because we are nothing if not neat-freaks. I also took photos of every corner of the...

I booked the King Suite for my wife and I’s 35th wedding anniversary. When we got there we were greeted and they parked our car for us. The room looked nice. Shortly after arriving at our room in the evening we had food to put in our fridge. Bad idea it was clear that the fridge had not worked in quite some time as the control knob was broke and had been for quite some time. I contacted front desk whom said he did not know what he could do he would have to call owner. At 9:30 pm I received a call from someone I assumed was owner saying they had an old one(fridge) however was not sure it worked. I told them not to bother at 9:30 pm. I had to empty out our cooler then I went and got ice and the ice machine was full of water obviously the drain was stopped up. The band was playing so loud it sounded like it was in our bathroom little to no sleep or rest that Saturday night! I was worried about the noise of the window A/C making incredible noise but the band sure made the A/C noise disappear. Sunday I went to our vehicle to retrieve some items to see that our sunroof had been left open when the front desk parked it. Luckily I was able to close it before the rain. The shower was quite tricky to adjust water without getting scalded. When I went to shave the sink was not only cracked and looked like it had been quite some time but the stopper did not work and sink would not hold water. In bed I noticed headboard was broke and much to my amazement the headboard had been duck taped!! Dale Earnhardt would have been proud of that repair. When I left I asked the attendant at front desk to have the owner or whomever takes care of issues to contact/call me. Never was notified by anyone. When I paid the kind of money I did for this room i would expect it not to be in total disrepair as we found it! And if noise of the band wax going to prevent a decent nights rest we should have been warned prior to booking! When we arrived we were told that there would be no housekeeping services as we had rented the room for Saturday and Sunday night. My wife and I were not expecting this and had never experienced anything quite like this in our travels especially paying the rate we paid. Our stay was Saturday June 7th and Sunday June 8th. I would NOT recommend this...

The beautiful historical touches all over the hotel from the Billy Holiday pumping softly to the antique wooden bed mixed with modern needs like the relaxing spa jacuzzi tub and in room coffee made for a glamorous unique experience! Every one of the staff are the friendliest kindest people I have ever met, always there to answer questions and carry bags to your room up the 3 flights of spiraling stairs and give suggestions to where the best places to eat and see are for first time visitors to the area! The room was spotless and so comfortable. Some points to consider if you are thinking of staying at the new Orleans hotel in downtown Eureka Springs. Your vehicle will have to be valley parked behind the building, so plan to pack in such a way that you can get everything to your room and back down without alot of trips quickly. Also, there is no elevator that I know of. We stayed on the 3rd floor and were up and down the beautiful stairs multiple times a day. If you have difficulty climbing stairs, this is a consideration. Also a note that we did not realize is that they DO offer a great breakfast of hot eggs, biscuits gravy, bacon, sausage coffee juice and yogurt. That was a happy suprise! There is A TON to do and see right here outside the front doors, as you walk right into the downtown shopping center. We had no issue with noise however at all. Overall it was a fabulous weekend getaway for us, and we will certainly return, as there is so much we planned to do and see, it was just too much to fit into one weekend. One suggestion to hotel owners.. the only criticism I could provide would be the odd choice of artwork in our room. I would love to feel the vibe of new Orleans carried into the decor of the art. Masquerade masks or calming jazz inspired art as apposed to the bird wildlife. I am not sure, maybe it is just me, but it feels a bit masculine and almost taxidermy like, and just seems out of place.
