May 12th..first time there..Rachel ruined my hair...showed pix of color ..pix clear and . pix of how I wear my hair.. showed her 3 sides views of the haircut so she could get a full idea.my hair was fairly long on top..a little bit on the nape of my neck and sides about 1 1/2 inches long...when she finished coloring she then shampooed and began cutting..I ASKED HER MORE THAN ONCE IF SHE WOULD LIKE TO SEE PIX AGAIN...SHE SAID NO SHE GOT IT...SHE KEPT CUTTING..SHE SPECIFICALLY ASKED ME IF I wanted my sides cut. ...I told her NO! My hair was not blonde it was a medium brown with purple undertones..my hair the back was ...so short in back and rounded. She cut my sides even with the top of my earlobes and the top. A total mess. There was no semblance to the pix. Front part of top cut so short. Then another portion short long part laying on left side of my top and not much of anything on my right ..she told me she had been doing hair for 7 yrs. My 7 yr old grandchild could have done better..I told her more than once I was leaving in a couple days for Vegas on business. I was supposed to give seminars......I ended up having to go to a color specialist after 175.00 it is now blonde. But the cut won't go away..I had several other engagements I cancelled due to my hair I have NEVER NEVER had a hairdresser in my lifetime do this to me..I am having to wear a hat everytime I go out of the house..she is a horrible hairdresser..DO NOT RECOMMEND HER FOR ANYTHING...as a sidebar..one of the hairdressers there was getting her hair colored..highlighted..she had short short cut offs on..she was getting her hair shampooed and rachells station next to her station..this woman had both her legs suspended wide apart and what an unpleasant site for me ...no...

The experience as a whole was ok. The staff was friendly. The owner who I originally spoke with was SO nice. I just think Reilly would have been more fit as to what I was looking for. I know my hair is long and super thick and can be hard to work with when it’s washed and being styled but I chopped a good bit off and asked for it to be thinned out and it just came out so thick and choppy. The overall color I asked for was so pretty and looked gorgeous when curled. however the way my hair was handled could’ve been better in my opinion. It was just pulled and yanked so much that the overall texture and amount of frays I had after this appt was just upsetting. Some of the comments from my stylist when I was uncomfortable in certain positions were also a little snarky. Also I paid like $420 granted that was with a tip and am aware I had to cancel last minute but it was completely out of my control and I’m not sure if part of that charge was a fee for cancelling but I came just 2 days later and she said someone had filled my original appt slot so she didn’t lose out on any $$.l so neither here nor there but If I didn’t get charged a fee then I definitely don’t think what I paid was worth what I got done. I pretty much kept the same color throughout my hair and lightened the bottom with an Auburn color. A balayage is listed at $200+ and I def did not get a balayage. As much as my hair turned out beautifully by the owner who helped me tremendously with figuring out my color, I was a bit perturbed in the beginning with how Ash and Ivy responded to my 1 year old with my nanny. The owner was very good with talking with us and treating me respectfully when my nanny was practically highly encouraged to leave the salon with my 1 yr old because “kids don’t stay for colors.”

My 1 yr old daughter had just woken up from a nap in our vehicle when we brought her in. She was (as any 1 year old) still kind of fussy….and when she got loud we would try to respect the quiet and take her outside. But it was also a bit chilly outside. After a little bit of happiness responses and whiny responses (when she got a little loud we did head out the door for a moment) the owner confronted us saying other people are paying for services indicating the 1 yr old needed to physically leave the establishment.

I don’t often get my hair done, and maybe I misinterpreted an environment that I thought was child friendly (especially because I had my nanny with me to care for my daughter)

After I informed the owner I was able to get a hold of my husband and he would be on his way, she said the baby can come and hang out until he got here. The thing is my nanny and I were already uncomfortable so I just told my nanny to turn on the vehicle and hang out there in the warmth.
