This location is newly remodeled and very attractive with some outside patio seating. I have not been to a Pizza Hut in more than 10 years and decided to give them a try after I noticed they had reinstituted their lunch buffet which would give me a great chance to try out multiple of their Pizza options in one go. I arrived 30 minutes after their buffet had started and then hung out for an hour to see how their lunch rush would impact the buffet. At $17 for the buffet and a drink they are pricier than their nearest competitor CiCi's. There was a strange dichotomy in their employees, as their employees were extremely efficient at clearing tables, cleaning up trash, and stocking the buffet, all while looking surly or even angry at moments. Ultimately, in today's service industry the surliness didn't bother me I was more impressed with how efficient they were at maintaining the restaurant as that is a rarity these days. The buffet itself consists of one very traditional salad bar and one warm Pizza section. The salad bar had what looked like an iceberg lettuce blend or just iceberg lettuce. Surrounded by 8 to 10 salad dressings and 8 to 10 toppings. When I arrived before their lunch rush The pizza warmer had two half pizzas on it; 1/2 was a pepperoni sausage ham and the other was a veggie. In addition to the flat top area where the pizzas are placed there are locations where Pizza Hut breadsticks, cinnamon iced breadsticks, and Pizza pasta were held. During the hour that I hung out and watched the buffet, they never varied from simple pepperoni, cheese, or veggie pizzas.... Occasionally adding one extra meat like sausage.... The only changes seemed to be in whether they were serving their pan crust, original crust orphan crust. They did not at any point place any of their specialty pizzas on the buffet such as a buffalo chicken or a bacon ranch. The pizza was kept fully stocked once the lunch rush kicked if a little cold as it seemed the warmer may not have been turned on
This next part is more subjective as it has to do with my own personal preferences towards Pizza. I sadly do not find their Pizza to be worth the money spent on it. Despite fond memories of personal pan pizzas during my youth the reality of their current flavors are lacking. They use a large amount of what tasted like soy or soy blend oils in their pans to cook their pizzas. These oils are neither healthy nor taste great. The pizza sauce that Pizza Hut uses is also not great, having bitter overtones and lacking the bright floral flavors of tomato sauces made with either fresh tomatoes or San marzano canned tomatoes, it also lacked any notable seasoning such as basil oregano or thyme which are commonly found in Pizza sauces. Lastly, the cheese that they use despite advertising 100% mozzarella was lacking that unique fresh mozzarella flavor and tasted more like something heavily plasticized and very bland. Overall Pizza Hut despite the remodel and fresh new look seems to be stuck in the highly processed past and in my opinion is not...
Read moreIt has been many years since I have ate at Pizza Hut, and the wife and I really enjoyed the renewed experience. Sure, I prefer the Pizza Hut of yesteryear when it comes to the atmosphere of what we grew up with, however, it is still a good layout and we even had a TV to watch!
Bryan and Brittany took awesome care of us, as well as the rest of the crew. Pizza was hot and fresh, and I would have got some salad, however there was no Honey Mustard or Italian that I like, however, it sure looked good and fresh.
We know every day is not gonna be perfect, as the marinara sauce was cold. Bryan said they screwed up so I did not get to dip my bread sticks or pizza in that delicious stuff!!
After I was about done eating, Brittany was bringing around cheese sauce as she forgot to do that she said, and I had no idea it was included, however, I sure do the next time I go back.
We got there a bit after 11, and the pizzas were being goobled up and hot fresh ones were always on the way out, and they were asking what we wanted made, which was awesome!! Meat Lovers Thin is my favorite!!!
Great job Bryan and crew, Totally Awesome Experience, and so glad you all were friendly, had a Cents oh Humor, and were happy to take care of...
Read moreI order from the Pizza Hut by my house quite often for my 2 teenaged boys as it's diff8for me to stand and cook. I always order on the app so I get my rewards toward the next "free" pizza & the boys will walk up to the drive through window to pick their pizzas up. Since Covid-19 this location has had a difficult time getting anyone to work there inside the store and we (usually the boys) have often been there when the staff was so short there was only 1-2 people in the store working !!!! The pizzas are still made correctly over 95% of the time we order and the workers apologized for the 2-4 minute wait time explaining (NOT WHINING OR COMPLAINING AT ALL) that they are the only ones that showed up to work. They even laughed about it. I don't know their names YET but plan on finding ding out so I can ask that they receive a special recognition !!! In short, these kids are doing an excellent job. (I don't get delivery from here as I live right behind them, so I can't say how the delivery...
