Edit* in response the the owner’s reply.
The person that took my order asked for my name & email address, so you should have had some form of contact. I left your store because everyone was helping other people and nobody said they were bringing the owner up to help with a resolution. It was presented as “it’s a mini ham and some Turkey or nothing”. I stood in your store for 5 mins after being told my reservation could not be filled while I was attempting to contact other restaurants to check on availability. Do not act like ran out of your business without waiting to hear what you could offer us. I clearly stated what was offered in my original complaint. We preordered our Easter ham at the Evansville location. We placed our order over the phone and were told that they would collect payment at pickup. When we went in to pick our order up they advised us that despite us preordering they had ran out of ham. It is 1:30p the day before Easter and they didn’t even bother to contact us so we could make other arrangements for our Easter dinner. When I asked how how they could run out of ham when we called to reserve one the lady refused to answer the question. She just kept saying “we ran out”. Finally someone behind her explained that their shipment didn’t come in and they just didn’t have enough to cover the reservations. I understand that the delayed shipment is out of their control, but they should have contacted the customers that were scheduled for a pickup that day instead of just waiting for them to show up and offering them a mini ham & some Turkey! Read moreWatch this place and watch your orders. I was charged $26.00 for ONE pound of sliced turkey. 2 employees working and neither of them listened or paid attention with myself being the only customer. Walked in ordered 1 pound sliced turkey. They had none sliced so the lady at the register whom took my order went to the back and had another lady slice it. Im thinking she told her 2 pounds because a few minutes later the lady slicing comes out and says 1 pound turkey! The lady at the register rings up this 1 pound at the total was $26 dollars which would be 2 pounds equivalent for that price. I was in a hurry, stupid me didn’t pay attention so I paid and left. A couple days later I started thinking dang that was expensive. I looked up the price again and see its $12.99 a pound. So why was I charged $26? Employees not paying attention, employees pocketing money? What was it? Watch your orders, make sure the price matches what you asked for before you...
Read moreI cannot tell you how wonderful the customer service is at the Evansville, IN Honey Baked Ham store! We ordered a ham to be delivered to a friend from the corporate store and found out today, 3 days before Christmas, that the delivery would not happened until the 27th!! I made a desperate call from South Carolina to see if the local store could help in any way and you would not believe how wonderful everyone was! They were most certainly dealing with lines of customers on this day and yet, my problem became their problem as they searched for ways to save the day. When we realised there were no delivery options that would work before Christmas, Eric, the store manager, offered to make the delivery himself! This is really unbelievable - he didn't know us at all, but he most certainly thought we would not be a repeat customer because we are not from the area, and yet he cared enough to personally take care of us. I think his actions...
