The service was friendly and good, the atmosphere inside is nice with cherry blossom trees however that's where the niceties stop. My partner and I ordered ramen, I had the House Special Ramen and she had the Shoyu Ramen. Looked great on the menu but they served cold veggies and kimchi 👀👀 on the side of the broth which didn't make much sense because the broth itself wasn't piping hot to begin with. The noodles were clumped together and gummy and the broth had very little flavor and tasted soapy as if they hadn't completely removed it from their dishes...even the Gyoza sauce we had was soapy. Also the pork belly was cut really thick which would be a good thing if it wasn't just chewy hard and slimy fat. They said my broth simmered for 12 hours and had a deep flavor....for $20 I expected good flavor but it wasn't good at all.

I will absolutely not go back again, we haven't tried all of their food but that turned us off of...

It’s really hard because I enjoy the food here a lot. But without fail they have screwed up my order the last 3 times I have gotten food here. Instead of giving me what I order, they give me a random appetizer without fail, and/or they don’t include a vital piece of the meal. Like the Katsu sauce with Katsu.

Every time, I ordered the right thing but they screwed it up and put in a wrong appetizer or no sauce instead of what I ordered. I keep trying again hoping it will be better but every time they get it wrong. I’ve wasted so much money hoping it is right and even tried to physically go in the last time but they still messed it up and of course by the time you realize it’s too late to go back. Very annoying to consistently throw money away.

It’s really too bad because I think they would be successful if they literally just followed what was ordered. It really is...

The ramen was tasty. They gave a huge portion of chashu for it, too! The seating was cozy without being too small and the place was relatively quiet. Typical top hits music playing. No table service here, so you have to go up and order, pay, then go grab it yourself when it's ready. No big deal, just different from the other Botan in Everett.

The crab rangoon weren't what I was expecting- they were very pricey for the amount you get (4 rangoon with the tiniest portion of sweet and sour sauce I've ever seen- it was about 1 tablespoon worth at most) and the rangoon were weirdly sour- or tart? I think they put a bit too much vinegar in them and it threw me off quite a lot.

The atmosphere was pretty nice though! The temp wasn't too hot. Bathroom was clean when I used it, and they even had extra hand...

Went in for a quick lunch, ordered the traditional tonkatsu ramen with a side of chicken karaage. Atmosphere was nice and clean, service was basically self-serve you order and pick up your food at the counter, food was just ok. Chicken karaage tasted like it was a little overcooked you get a little bit of crunch and it was kinda dry. I don't recommend ordering it. The best part would probably be the ramen broth. Noodles perfectly cooked but wasn't enough for me. So if your someone who enjoys eating noodle you might want to add an extra side order of it. The ramen toppings was just ok, I guess I was just expecting more flavor from it. The ramen broth was hands down the best part of my meal. Which was savory and full of flavor. Total came out to 25$. 16$ for the ramen and 9$ for the chicken.

Came here looking for a good bite to eat after getting out of class and was BLOWN AWAY! As a vegetarian, I don't often see variety or quality in the dishes restaurants provide, but here that isn't a worry. There's a vegetarian option in every dish category and all look equally delicious! I tried their tofu teriyaki today, and it is the best I have EVER had. The tofu was thick with a hearty batter and extremely crunchy! Most fried tofu I've been treated to is soggy, so Botan has raised my standards by a mile! Will be happy to be a repeat customer trying everything this adorable little restaurant has to offer!

Excellent ramen based upon Everett standards, but middle when comparing bto sa Francisco and cend downtown seattl. It's aNice clean little place. Seems like it's ran by husband and wife so not big on chit chat or customer service but very fast and good food. Pictured is custom spicy tokontsu with tofu onions and bean sprouts ($16.50 with tax). Had to spice it up more with Sriracha. If I come back or if you are new I would skip the custom order and just go directly to the chef specials (photo of chef special also attached) as they are cheaper and have more ingredients.
