The donuts are delicious and they've never gotten my order wrong.
I've had some strange experiences though. Firstly, they're evidently short staffed but both times this happened for me there were more workers than customers in the building.
I've ordered and paid for donuts online. When I got to the store they were ready but instead of handing them to me from behind the counter, I waited at the online order pick up area for an extended time while staff walked by pointedly not making eye contact. It was so weird I thought it was just a bad interaction but the next time it happened again.
I hadn't gone back in months as a result but recently my husband said he wanted donuts, ordered and paid online. I hadn't really shared my experience with him, just stopped going, but he came home from picking up donuts and told me he wouldn't be going back then described the exact same experience with staff pointedly avoiding waiting on him (which would entail handing him the box of ready donuts). He even called to someone after waiting and being ignored and asked them if they could just hand him the box right next to them and they said "In a minute" and walked into the back.
When I've actually gotten to interact with staff they've been courteous, the donuts are great and my orders are correct. But they seem to play a strange game of chicken amongst themselves on how long they'll awkwardly go ignoring customers until one of them finally makes eye contact. Whatever makes the shift go...
Read moreI normally do not write bad reviews but I have to tell you my first experience here was not good. We were planning to go to a dog rescue picnic and we were tasked with bringing a dessert. I called 4 weeks in advance because I wanted 6 doz donuts and asked if I should give them notice. I was told I could order on line or just come in the day of not a problem for 6 doz. I again called on Friday (picnic was on Sunday) to see if I could reserve the donuts. Told only way to do that was to order online which I am not a fan of. At this point because of weather concerns and low turn out we would only need 3 dozen. Once again told just come in and get them. Sunday morning as we start our 1.5 hour trip to the Picnic we called to say we would be in 20 mins could they box up 3 dozen. NOPE only if we pay online but just come in no big deal for 3 dozen. Well after 50 mins of waiting for them to make 3 dozen random donuts I was extremely aggravate. All the times I called they never said It would take that long. If I had needed to buy 6 dozen would it have taken a hour and a half? They could have giving me that info on one of the three times I called. Not a word. It was not the wait time because of a line, it was the prep time. My wife paid then had to wait for 50 min. NOT good customer service for $65.00 worth of donuts. Read moreThis is the WORST Duck Donuts I have ever been to. Husband called in on a Friday to place an order for 6 regular and 6 vegan donuts for pickup on Saturday @2pm- even paid for them prior to make the pickup even faster. We went to pickup the order and was told there was an issue with the vegan order, only half was made for whatever reason 🤷🏽♀️. Okay- no big deal, they tried to make them right away👍🏽- that I can handle and do some shopping around, after all we drove 45 minutes away JUST for the donuts. We get a call while walking around and was told they can't make the donuts after all and they want to just charge for the half of the order. 🤔 Wait- you seriously want me to pay for ANYTHING at this point? There was no call that there was an issue UNTIL the order was supposed to be picked up (and yes, they had the phone number). 🙄 The entire order was canceled and I told my husband to go back in and get proof with a receipt- good thing I did because they tried the change the refund amount for the entire order. So after wasting time, money and gas I still have nothing to show for it, not even a free donut for next time (NOTHING!)- this is some other level of customer service...
