I am giving the restaurant 2 stars, because I do love their sweet potato rolls however, their delivery service is by far the worst I have experienced yet. I work about 2 to 3 miles away from the restaurant so maybe a 5 to 10 minute drive depending on traffic. I placed my order last night at 6:20pm on Grubhub and within a minute, it said that the restaurant was preparing my food. The tracker said delivery would be between 7 and 7:10 pm. At 7:20pm I still hadn't received my food and the tracker did not move. I called and the phone rang before giving me a busy signal. I called back and a woman answered who told me that my food had left and is on its way. She was pleasant and told me to call back in 15 to 20 minutes when if it still wasn't there. I called back 20 minutes later, because my food was still not here, and the woman I spoke with called the driver to find out where they were. I find it unacceptable to make a paying customer wait over an hour for their food. I understand that there are other customers, but notice would have been nice if they were busy or backed up. I also ordered this over an hour and half before the end of my work shift, and it came 15 minutes before I was leaving my job. I most likely will be avoiding this restaurant's delivery service...
Read moreDO NOT GO! Terrible service and less than average sushi. Here's why: SERVICE: I called, and they made me wait on the phone for 15 mins before taking my order for pick up. I called around 6:30pm. They said it would take them an hour to make my order. I told them that was fine. I showed up 1hr later to pick up my order. They told me it would be another 10 mins. 25 mins later with my order no where in sight, I was so exasperated that I almost left without my order. SUSHI: The sushi was below average. The maki rolls were not packed tightly and kept falling apart. Same goes for the sushi. The fish itself was fresh but very badly cut. The fish on the sushi was broken in pieces. Not sure how you can mess that up. I couldn't put one solid piece in my mouth. Even the rice could not be picked up with chopsticks because it would just fall apart. It was just not packed. I ended up eating with my hand. OVERALL: It was definitely not worth the wait or the price. The only thing that could have made it worse would be if the fish was old or bad. Luckily it wasn't. Having said that, I will not be coming back, and I highly recommend not going there. There are better options in the area for same price and...
Read moreI asked the Chefs to choose any 3 rolls, and said that I can eat anything.
I need to re-evaluate that and say I can, however cream cheese inside sushi #imo is sacrilege.
I'm not saying that it was bad, if that's your thing-go for it. #osushi does a fabulous job. However I know need to clarify "Anything except not the cream cheese nor fried sushi rolls."
They were good, but just not the thing for me. Sushi needs to be light, clean, with very little added to it to weigh it down (outside of the rice, and occasion sauce).
The one roll that I was introduced to and enjoyed (I believe it was their Crazy Tuna Roll) had an intense spicy kick, was packed with Tuna, White Tuna, and avocado, with a peppery (assuming eel) sauce.
I dissected the cream cheese out the one roll, the fried roll I was stuck eating as-is. And again, it wasn't bad, just not for me.
I do, however LOVE O'sushi Japanese Restaurant and will go back time and time again. Just sans all things cream cheese & fried.
And I love roe...although one guy who came in was clearly not a fan. I wanted to say..."I'll take his!" . . . #foodfarmsnchefs #amarispollock #sushi...
