Ewing Cakes — Restaurant in Ewing Township

Horrible customer service. I found out about this place from a friend who had gotten her baby shower cake from here that was really good, so I decided to order a bday cake from them for a milestone birthday for a family member. I ordered the cake online towards the end of October after seeing a cake I wanted a replica of from their website. After a few days no one called me me to confirm so on Election Day I called them. I told them I ordered online and the lady pulls up my order I tell her I wanted the black and silver bow cake on their site but in different colors and she tells me I put the wrong type of a cake on my order it’s not a sheet cake it would be a tier cake. She then tells me if I didn’t want to come in I could text a number with the picture of the cake and how I wanted it still never mentioned pricing a deposit nothing. Later that same day i texted the picture from their website and how I wanted it still no confirmation through text no phone call nothing. So today the day before I needed the cake I go in to pick up and it’s not ready. The lady is telling me why didn’t I call the day before I would of needed a deposit that’s a custom cake. Why did I even need to call from the beginning when I placed an order online and your website says someone will contact me to confirm my order. And why didn’t you take the time to get my order straight when I did call. Lastly why when I text the number you gave me about my order you then still don’t confirm? Honestly, i was so disappointed and so embarrassed about my son’s birthday cake. It was very,very, very dry which that took me by surprise because i always praise how her cakes are great, moist and always amazing. I never had an issue but man i don’t know if she didn’t want to bake the day of my son’s birthday party but that cake was soooo bland it didn’t even have a little sweetness not even a drop…i don’t like overly sweet cake and i order from her bakery because she makes it perfectly sweet but wow i guess she didn’t care about my cake nor the flavor. i was so embarrassed as i told my family from other states that came to visit us, i expressed how she makes the best cakes only for them to look at me like Um is this it? It was bad that people didn’t even want to take cake home. You know if it’s good people would be like can i get a piece to go? Nope. Nobody asked.. I honestly was super disappointed with my son’s cake but i won’t ask for money back and it was $100 but i just wanted to tell people just be prepared to have a hit or missed cake by this bakery but i hope everyone gets a cake on her good day and i hope your cake does not come out dry and flavorless...

It was my grand son's 1st birthday and his mom ordered the dallas cowboys cake. The cake was horribly made from the helmet which fell apart and the base cake which tasted nasty and not to mention the fondant which fell off the cake as soon as the cake was cut

When I call to complain abt the cake the person was very rude stating that since I was not the one to purchase the cake my complaint didn't matter. Her tone in her voice was as if she was irritated. I said to her it was his 1st birthday and the guest only conversation was about how terrible the was. She said his mother should've brought it back. No you have never sold her the cake looking like that. She's young and probably didn't realize the imperfections until she got home..why would you even let something like that go out the store in the first place..
