Small, Cozy and family owned : ) When you first walk in, you can tell this is an old building with history. They kept the look inside to capture the feeling of the 40s 50s and early 60s. Alot of veteran influence on the walls to commemorate the fallen of past events. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The overwhelming smells of fresh baked goods with love. On the displays they have fresh pastries, cookies, cakes and bread. There is many tables to bring friends and family. Bathroom is very clean and overall condition of the restaurant is top notch. You can tell there are attention to details. The fresh, delicious and fulfilling food here is what really stands out. I had tried the sourdough with salomi, ham and turkey with all the fixings. They give you a pickle and a cookie and a drink with a full sandwich. The portions are more than enough and with a full sandwich you have portions for two days for one person. With two people and a full sandwich, both will be pleased. This is one of those places that doesn't get enough recognition but still stays busy with people like me. I like to invest in my community and when they go above and beyond, you got a customer for life. They serve an awesome breakfast, hearty lunch and the sweets for the dinner deserts. Thank you for proving we do not have to settle with mediocre : )

Once again Hometown has made my life easier and delicious, and without breaking my budget. This month alone, they not only made me the best iced Chai lattes, consistently perfect over and over again but they catered my twins' graduation party, AND they made my twins birthday cupcakes (every year- this year is year 18!). Hometown has always been there for me, even when I am hangery and have an off day, they make me feel welcomed and just for those few precious moments while I'm there, I'm a part of their big loving family because that is how they treat me. ā¤ļø thank you Hometown.

So I seen someone post on the Exeter page to review this place because it could help them out and reminded me of an experience I had there only a couple years ago… The women who owns this place and her husband decided to post about me on an Exeter Facebook page completely untrue things and completely unprofessional because it affected my work as well… hopefully this is a wake up call not to gossip online. The owner and her husband are liars and are the type of people that think they can post online to ruin someone’s life based off untrue gossip. Like most older folks thinking they can post and say whatever without repercussions. Especially to someone who tried to support a small town, small business. I guess that’s how they repay the community. However, I am still very honest even though the lady and her husband spread false claims about people online. Sadly, the food is very vanilla. I don’t think they know what...

The basket arrangements are really nice. But the older main lady in charge is so rude and unprofessional. She got upset because SHE didnt complete the order I made. Instead of professionally handling the situation she took out items I had already paid for to add the items she failed to put in the first place. She said it would take 30mins to fix, and i said that's fine I'll wait. She rudely told us to also move where we were standing because she needed the area. Which in fact there was plenty of other space to use. Since I waited and watched her fix the item, it took her less than 10mins. She was just rude and didnt want to fix it. Beautiful arrangements I'll give her that much, but I wont be back for that kind of...
