Lee Frank's — Restaurant in Exeter

We didn't get a chance to eat here! We arrived at 5 pm on Friday night, there were about 20+ patrons waiting for their food. We wanted to order shakes and were told they weren't making them that day, they were out of milk. We put our order in and payed, we were not told how long the food would take. We were waiting for 15 minutes and noticed no one had any food and we did not see one order of food come out. We went up to the counter and asked how much longer and were told, they hadn't started our order and it would take 30 minutes until they started our order. I'm sorry, but to wait close to an hour for burgers is unacceptable. We cancelled our order (still waiting for a refund) and went to a local establishment that had our order ready in 15 min. Honestly not a great experience. Seriously, just go to Lexie’s instead.

The young person taking our order was pretty rude and snappish. I’ve worked in the industry so I really do get it and I didn’t hold it against them. But they didn’t tell us how long it would take to get our food and it took 40 minutes. By this point we’re just happy to have the food but the burger was so overcooked I had to stop eating halfway through because my jaw was tired from chewing it. The fries were lukewarm and soaking in a pool of oil. My shake was tasty but they must’ve made it way before the food; it was thin, foamy liquid. We went in on a warm Saturday night. Line was decent. The ladies got through the push in a fair amount of time and with a smile on their face. The shakes and burgers were delicious. I personally wasn't a fan of the fries. They tasted like bagged fries from the grocery store. Not sure if it was a one off situation or not, which is why I still leave 5 stars. The only thing I'd suggest is asking what comes on the burgers. I am a picky condiment person and I'm glad I asked, because they come pretty loaded. All and all it was a great first experience and I'll definitely be back for another double...
