My husband and I were passing through and decided to pop in for lunch as we saw they had outdoor seating and a good rating. Oy, where to start... The owner seemed to be running this operation single-handed. He's trying to host, serve and manage and it's not working out well. Times are tough with COVID, we understand. However, the execution is poor. He is running around with NO mask and handling food. Condiments are still being served in their greasy containers, not in ramekins or single-serve packets which would have been 100x more hygienic. There was also a sheet pan of cake sitting out, uncovered and half cut up right outside the bathroom. During this time, sanitation and precautionary measures should be the ultimate priority. His restaurant is definitely not following code.

Now let's talk about the food. We got the turkey bacon sandwich and the blt. The turkey sandwich was served on stale old bread which we ended up not eating. The turkey itself tasted cheap and processed. It was served with a side salad with blue cheese dressing. It was your average store bought salad mix. The dressing tasted more like a creamy garlic? No blue cheese in sight. We didn't eat it.

The blt should have just been called a tomato sandwich. There were like 2 strips of bacon?

Honestly the best part of this meal were the fries. Which I am sure came from a frozen bag.

The icing on the cake was waiting for 15 minutes for the owner/server to come back to our table so we could pay. Instead, we had to hunt him down to find him inside staring out the window.

These 2 sandwiches were definitely not worth the $34 price tag.

Needless to say, if we ever pass through Fairfax again we will give this...

Great place to eat. My aunt and I were greeted by the owner and executive chef. We were seated quickly and given a few moments before being waited on.

She ordered the BLT on sourdough with lentil soup. This sandwich was huge. It not only had the bacon, lettuce, and tomato, but avocado, and much more. The soup was very thick, rich, and earthy. It had a pop of cumin at the very end of each bite. She had a glass of water with lemon.

I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. It came with a fresh delicious coleslaw and piping hot crispy french fries.

Now, before I give the review for the great things I must make a few reviews of disappointment. My aunt asked for her sandwich to be cut in quarters, but it was only cut in half. She asked for extra mayonnaise, but they didn't do so. My BBQ pulled pork sandwich was ice cold except for the bread.

Now, comes the fun part. The wait staff was very polite and helpful. They checked us a few times. They brought my aunt a small bowl of mayonnaise. They brought me a small dish of ranch for my fries. When I said something about my sandwich being cold, the waiter apologized immediately and the owner personally retired my sandwich. This is true customer service.

I recommend this great place for lunch, breakfast, and dinner. True ole fashion service, terrific food, excellent prices, and everything you expect from a great resturant. If you live in or near Fairfax go here. If just visiting or passing through, and hungry here is your place.

Just one more thing, the owner as waited on tables, bused tables, and took orders. I love when owners are directly involved with...

Speechless. I was going to get a sandwich at the Deli nearby and it was closed so I saw Barefoot open and decided to get a sit down meal.

Small place with nice atmosphere unlike most strip malls today with tile over cement floor and glass to ceiling windows. Instead it was a real building and cozy. Tables well spaced and with linens and real wine glasses.

Full bar and exceptional wine menu.

Waiter, not server. Chatted about menu and he made sure we were comfortable. He asked if we wanted a box to go for leftovers and asked if he could get it in the box. Thank you! Frustrated when a server hands you a box and walks away and expects a big tip.

The my chicken marsala with portabello mushrooms broccoli and mashed potatoes was the best meal I have had in a year. When he lit the pan up on the stove and cloud of flame when up, I knew something special was coming.

Everything is fresh and local. It was like being in a small village in France! Will definitely come back!

Waiter kicked down some flan no charge and it was heaven. Mmmm!

I left feeling really good, not just full. The time from order to plate in front of me was less than ten minutes.

Come here and sit down and for an hour, leave the...

This was a great dinner spot on the Friday night my wife and I arrived in Fairfax for the first time. It had all the qualities we were looking for, a great dinner menu, indoors seating, full bar, and a location right in the downtown area. The service was outstanding, with Tyrone taking care to make sure we were happy and well fed, and he was very informative and knowlegeable of the menu and the specials. The food was top notch, the salmon special was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful, the Crab Cakes were exquisite, and the meatballs were tender and delicious. The Beet Salad could have used some more beets and less greenery, but it was also a great dish. Would definitely come back again next time we are in the area!

This place was so pretty! The food was super good! I got the pesto pasta dish with added chicken. The chicken was juicy and not dry (which some places serve🙃). Our server, Tyrone, was also very nice and helpful! The food came fast and we were served cornbread to start off! The corn bread looked homemade and was amazing! 🤩 We were also informed that they serve both gluten free breads and pasta which was perfect for one in our party that don’t eat gluten. For dessert we shared a pannacotta with strawberry sauce which was very good! It was home made and I could see it was made with real vanilla beans! Overall food and dessert was way above our expectation and I highly recommend going here!
