We ordered chicken korma, saag paneer, veggie coconut curry, and garlic naan, which were all delicious. I have never tried paneer-stuffed naan before, it was good but the garlic naan was very good.

The service was lacking. We came in on a Monday evening around 5pm. It didn’t seem very busy, but our food took a long time to come out (25 minutes) even though it seemed like there was a lot of staff in the kitchen. Once we were seated, we ordered our food and wine but the waiter took like 20 minutes to bring out the wine. They could have brought the wine out sooner. Also, the waiter made some mistakes by bringing the food to the wrong table, maybe they were new.

When the food came out, they didn’t give us enough rice for each entree (we ordered 3 entrees and 2 naan, but only received 2 bowls of rice). I assumed we would get one bowl of rice per entree.

Finally, we ordered a to go order of chicken korma and they did not give us rice for the...

Cafe Lotus offers a wonderful dining experience with a delightful Indian touch to its cuisine. The food is packed with authentic flavors, and we were seated immediately without any wait time, which was a great start to the visit.

One of the most unique aspects of the cafe is its open kitchen. Watching the chefs expertly prepare dishes adds transparency and an interactive touch that enhances the overall experience.

However, there are a couple of drawbacks. While the dishes are undeniably tasty, the prices are on the higher side, which might not appeal to budget-conscious diners. Additionally, the portion size of the curry was smaller than expected, leaving us wishing for a bit more value...

Loved this place. Visited Café Lotus on our way back from Point Reyes. We were there by noon on a Saturday. Was empty when we went in. They use a lot of Organic ingredients. Enough said :) Yummy food. We ordered vegetarian and everything was super tasty. Courteous staff. We wanted our food to be very mild as we had our baby with us and they were very kind to accommodate that. Very clean toilet. One of the cleanest I have ever seen at a cafe / restaurant. Lovely interiors with a lot of traditional Indian wall decors.

Now we know where to eat when we travel a bit north of...

World-class rice! so light and fluffy! I like things on the saltier side so I’ve been shaking the little thing.. it’s nice to have the option right?.. the garlic naan was really good. baked fresh. Yum! If you like intense flavors, make sure you get the side dish - pickled mango. Eat with caution.. it has some remains of the mango pit in there.. you won’t want to chew it unless you’re a trex. The Chana masala was great! Not spicy at all. The pickled mango is pretty hot 🥵 I eat here when I’m in the area. You should too 😉

A great place to stop after exploring Marin County coast. We backpacked in Point Reyes. After two days of camping, it feels great to taste some nice spicy Indian food. Their menu offers a long lists of common north indian dishes. You can order them in different spiciness levels. I'd say it's a bit on the spicy side but it's also likely they missed our desire to keep it "medium". No matter, I like spicy foods. Service is excellent and they offer refills on their chai.
