I wanted to provide some honest feedback on my experience at this store. I came in the first time and got really good vegan and GF cupcakes. Like really good!! The owner herself served us and she was very nice. There was one employee with her that day. I noticed the employee spent a lot of time on a chair doing the bare minimum.
Whenever I come to food places, I look closely to see what the public facing areas look like. It was extremely disorganized with stuff everywhere scattered from left to right. It left me worrying for how clean everything really was and what the back could be looking like. I wondered why everywhere was so messy with an employee sat on a chair. Anyway I put it down to maybe a bad day there and got the cake anyway.
Yesterday I was back at the mall and got tempted by the lovely smell of baked cake so I came over to see what vegan cupcakes they had. On the walk over, I saw an employee again sitting on a chair at the front and someone working behind him. I asked about the vegan cupcakes and he went to find out what was available. I looked around to see if any improvements to the tidiness and was absolutely shocked to see the 2nd employee preparing some type of food product using his BARE HANDS. It was some type of dough balls he was lining up on a tray (why aren't you using gloves!). He was doing something new on top of a bunch of clutter from previous batches/products. Idk maybe my pregnancy has something to do with this but it gave me the most major ick and when the 1st guy came back to tell me what they had, I declined it and left.
To have employees sitting in chairs whilst the publicly visible counter food prep areas are in disarray and messy is ridiculous. It breaks my heart because I would love to support this business but seeing the lack of tidiness plus food being handled with bare hands is super off-putting and gross to me. I'm not comfortable...

My girlfriend and I came in because I am in search of a bakery to make cupcakes for my baby shower. The friendly staff offered us a sample of the caramel cake. I will say that, the cake was really good. I asked for two slices and was told they only made the sliced cake for sampling, to purchase a bunt cake because it was the same. They also expressed that the Carmel cupcake tasted the same as well just the difference of the icing. So I decided to bring some yummy goodness home to my husband for dessert after dinner. I ordered two Carmel cupcakes which the icing melted by the time I got home, $7 each. I also ordered 2 bunt cakes one pineapple upside down and the other was the Carmel, also at $7 each. I was already turned off by the pricing for 4 cupcakes, in which my total was $29, but I wanted to support the local business. When we finally ate the melted caramel cupcakes I was highly disappointed. It was a total waste. It tasted like someone forgot to add sugar to the batter. We ended up not eating it. Was so turned off by the cupcakes that we never went on to eating the two bunt cakes in the following days. I really want to give this place one star, but I am still holding on because the Carmel cake sample was really good and the staff were friendly. Therefore the 3 stars. I will say visit at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to love their gluten-free cupcakes and bought them regularly, but my most recent experience was a complete disappointment.
On Friday, I tried to communicate via email to get information about my order, but responses were either delayed or never sent. Still, because I liked their products, I went ahead with the order, scheduled for pickup between 2:00ā2:30 PM. When we arrived, the cake wasnāt ready. I was told they ran out of strawberries and needed 10 more minutes to finish it. However, the store was still closed, and we ended up waiting 30ā40 minutes past the scheduled time.
When the store reopened at 3:00 PM and the cake was finally being finished, the person preparing it didnāt wash the strawberries properly and handled them without gloves. This was very upsetting from a hygiene perspective. Despite all that, we had no choice but to take the cake because we were already late for a birthday party.
We were told the cake, originally priced at $65, would be discounted to $45 ā and both my friend and I clearly heard this. But when we checked out, no discount was applied. They claimed they didnāt charge the $3 tax, but that wasnāt true ā we ended up paying $61.78.
We lost time, were late to the party, and the taste of the cake was underwhelming. Sadly, this was the worst product Iāve ever purchased from this place. A bakery I once trusted and visited weekly has turned into a disappointment. I wonāt...
