TASTE (8/10): We tried 5 different Rolls. Rainbow roll was the best. Others like California, Philadelphia, and Eel Cucumber were fine, but Rainbow was the clear winner. Red Snapper sashimi? Not my thing. Felt like I accidentally bit into the ocean floor.
PRICE (7/10): Rolls were decently priced at around $8–10. However one person cannot be full with 2 Rolls. Special menu plates felt a little pricey, but we didn’t dive into those.
SERVICE (7/10): We waited for about 30 minutes for the first order, but the second one came so much earlier. The staff were sweet and helpful. Minor hiccup when the owner subtly tried to seat us at the bar instead of a table because we were just two people, but handled it politely.
ATTITUDE (9/10): Warm and welcoming vibes all around.
PLACE (9/10): Spacious and impressively clean. Honestly, the ambiance made everything taste better.
CLEANLINESS (9/10): Spotless. If I dropped a roll on the floor, I might’ve considered picking it up.
ADDITIONAL FEES/HIDDEN COSTS (7/10): No mystery charges, but the tip prompt kicks off at 18 percent. Subtle pressure.
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Great sushi experience with one standout roll, charming staff, and a space so clean it makes you wonder if they’re using...
Read moreNew place in Fairfax, menu looked good so we wanted to check it out. We ordered their donkatsu ramen, salmon sashimi, momo chicken thigh, and the following rolls... Salmon rolls, Double yellowtail, New grand roll, Rainbow roll, and Fuji mountain roll. They gave us complimentary side salad and miso soup. I think my favorite was probably the salmon roll, salmon sashimi and rainbow roll. The rainbow roll was surprisingly very well priced at 12 dollars and very big quality pieces! They give you ample ginger and wasabi. I never had to ask for more. Shout out to our server Juliet 🙌 who was SUPER friendly, attentive and helpful 😊 Ask for her if you can! The owner came to ask how everything was and even gave us a complimentary dessert. The greentea ice cream was on point and a perfect end to our delicious meal 😋 Everyone was SO nice and gave us a warm smile and send off. I highly recommend checking it out! We will definitely be going back!
update went for happy hour and wow!! Their prices are amazing!!! 3 to 6pm 5 dollar salmon avocado rolls among a ton of other options and 3 dollar draft beers like Asahi and Sapporo!...
Read moreWe had a family dinner at this restaurant on their opening day. For an appetizer, we had tempura. The batter was light and crispy, and the dipping sauce was flavorful.
We ordered Hae Dup Bop, Hashi Sushi & Sashimi Combo, and Uni Pasta. The Hae Dup Bop was beautifully presented with a mix of vibrant colors. It wasn’t too spicy, so even my 8-year-old could enjoy it. The fresh vegetables added a nice balance to the dish.
The sushi and sashimi were great quality for the price. The fish tasted fresh, and the wasabi didn’t feel like the cheap, store-bought kind—it had a freshly grated texture, which I really enjoyed. The soy sauce was also richer than standard Kikkoman, so be careful not to dip too much!
The pasta was delicious. The noodles were unique—not udon or regular ramen but chewy and flavorful. The sauce had a perfect blend of garlic, uni, and butter. While others had cake for dessert, we treated the pasta as ours!
Overall, it was a great family dinner, and we were very satisfied. One small note: the key for the paper towel dispenser in the men’s restroom is sitting on top of it—better grab it before it...
