Well this 'Pad Thai Restaurant' is the simplest restaurant I've been to. It's a strip mall ambiance with plain walls, or no decor at all. Pretty small and long with fewer settings. Husband and I decided to stop by on November 16-23 as mentioned in the previous review we were packing our things and moving to another place. We were kinda tired so we arrived around 20:20. My husband ordered 'Duck Hi So' full of ginger aroma. Light batter crispy duck, shrimps, ginger onions, scallions, carrots, celery, bell pepper with white steamed rice. My dish was the 'Drunken Noodle' with wide rice ribbon noodles sauteed with eggs, onions, fresh basil leaves and beef. I prefer chicken but this time I wanted to taste something different. Husband liked his dish he said: The duck was pretty good with a lot of meat, not just bones. It was just perfect with the rice. My noodles were kinda good, while the beef wasn't a good cut and had a lot of sinues. So I mostly just ate the noodles. This restaurant has been around nearly 20 years. It is family run by two ladies. They're polite and the owner came to our table making sure everything was alright. Also they're good about asking you how spicy you'd like your dish - very important in an Asian restaurant. They didn't rush us by the time we finished they were ready to close. My husband met them before when we first moved to Virginia in January -23 he ordered food for us there. To me it was the first time visiting the restaurant. In my opinion if you're looking for a beautiful ambiance, to take your date and relax is not the place. Great for take out like we had the first time.

Could be the worst Thai restaurant in DC metro area. First off, the portion is unusually small. Their entree is at best 2/3 of the size you'd get at any other restaurant. I ordered a Drunken Noodle with seafood for $15.89 (including tax). As you can see from the picture, the takeout box is barely larger than my iPhone 7 Plus phone case (I needed the phone to take this photo with.) And, the food tastes funny. If the Drunken Noodle at Mai Thai in downtown DC and Georgetown (a much nicer restaurant by the way, and the same dish costs the same price $14.95 pre-tax) is what a normal Thai Drunken Noodle tastes like, then this restaurant's Drunken Noodle is rubbish. Only two flavors, sweet and overwhelmingly spicy, like the chef dumped a whole bottle of chili pepper and several scoop of sugar. No greens. Although there is variances, typically a Drunken Noodle would at least have green bell peppers and fresh basil in it. None of that in my dish. I only got some stale carrots and several slices of onions, and what's more? Scrambled eggs!! What the heck?! I don't get how other reviewers rated this place authentic. It's overly hyped in my opinion. If you wanna have Thai food, go somewhere else. You just randomly walk into any Thai food place and can't possibly get a worse experience than this.

TASTE (6/10): Tried the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai, both a bit too sweet for my taste. Might be the sauce, might be me. Not my vibe, but with a menu that reads like a novel, there’s still hope. PRICE (7/10): Prices were fair. Not a steal, not a ripoff. Just… prices. PLACE (7/10): Small spot, but fits 20–25 people. Functional and fine. CLEANLINESS (8/10): Clean. No complaints. LOCATION (9/10): Right in front of Walmart, super easy to spot. You could literally trip into it. SERVICE & ATTITUDE (10/10): The lady working there was lovely and helped us understand the menu. Felt like visiting a kind aunt with a wok. OVERALL IMPRESSION: Not a match for my palate, but I’m not giving up yet. Menu’s got range, and the staff’s warmth makes a second round likely. Chance of returning: 75%

So, I have travelled far and come from Seattle that prides the ASIAN delights.

I have friend from Thailand and I have been pleasured by the delightful delicious food they make. I have been to some of the best Pad Tai in the world and delicious.

Driving from Norfolk to see the Cherry Blossom, the entire trip been a bust since arriving in Fairfax, VA. Absolutely not one blossom out around the capital grounds, reflection pod the war memorials, Lincoln and Jefferson, FDR. Ect. Traffic at 8am was a complete sxxt show and try to find parking. Good luck, getting lost took 4 hours just to return to hotelaka Holiday Inn, that okay not even clean to other MUCH nice Holiday Inn. I feel like I am in little Asian . India.

Okay, so I was hungry and Lo Mein and spring rolls sounded great. The ladies were nice, the restaurant lack much to comfort and comfort., McDonalds is much nicer and that not saying much.

Service for take out was fast. However, the plastic bag for the small containers was not impressive. I got maybe 1 teaspoon of spring roll sauce. Trust me go to walmart and buy a bigger bottle not enough for 1/2 a roll. You will get 3. Me not impressed.

Okay, spring roll probably bought at Costco, the grease was dirty and burnt making the spring roll begging for sauce to even put this down without regurgitating backup .

My friend in Seattle, is so delicious, this Lo Mein is shameful and disgusting. Full of burnt grease, gigantic noodles. Maybe 2 pieces of old chicken or meat. Carrot sliced so thin paper is thicker. What happen to pride and make GREAT authentic food one should be proud to serve. I had to throw it all away it was that BAD. Why would a place give a plastic fork so cheap cannot even lift the noodle without breaking.

List $25 dollar is ridiculous price just go to Walmart and buy some frozen garbage. 500% better.

I am a guest. Shame on the owner forgetting their pride. Everything in this meal should be handmade and taste delicious and presented with pride my Thai friend do in Seattle.

I am heading to bed hungry and sad, afraid to try another place and be so disappointed again. East coast restaurant and so called chefs. Your a disgrace and should have license revoked.

I miss the day people took PRIDE in their product and food.

If you like this place. Never go to Seattle, you will find what I...

I ordered here after colleagues raved about how delicious the food was. I called to place an office order for delivery and was told by a woman that they were "too busy" and I "had to wait." Since it wasn't an order for just myself, I decided to go ahead and pickup. When I arrived (pretty good location), I had to find parking and then walk. I entered a small, narrow restaurant with about 6 tables occupied and only 1 server. The woman who had greeted me was at the register answering phones, sitting down. There was one woman in me whose food had been "taken" and she was waiting for her order to be made again. Instead of the cashier ringing me up and getting me out, she sat on the phone and had me stand there about 10 minutes additional while my food sat in front of her.

When I finally got my food, the lady told me the total and I questioned why it was so high. She said if you want the lunch special you should have said something when you placed the order. Clearly, it's lunch time and the item that i ordered is on the lunch menu but...Ok...why didn't you confirm which size I wanted instead of just charging me the most expensive?

This was my first time here and the curry that I ordered was ok. Definitely not worth a 4.4 rating and with the service I received, I struggled not to give it 2 stars! The family may be nice and the food is ok, but I don't pay for 2nd class service or being told to "wait." There are too many options to do that. I don't...
