I had placed an order from the catering menu upon pick up they send me a receipt just showing a based amount price, no details on each item Price, after calling the place a lady who answered phone put me on hold until she found my receipt said that the price online had changed and that their was a 3% charge if paid with credit card which they should had mention that when I placed the order. While talking on the phone with the lady she first stated the charge for credit card was 3% after I told her it still didn’t make sense on the charge she the said 7% which is ridiculous high. At the end I had to pay what amount they came up with, if you have a price on your website you should honor it. Based on the price on each item on the website it should have be $300.00 before taxes, but on the receipt it was based amount of $351 before taxes. The food is very good, it's the service. We order frequently for delivery to our office, we have learned to order by 11am to ensure it's here by 12. Today we ordered 11:15, it's now almost 1pm and the food isn't here. I called inquiring, I get told "it's on it's way" - we are paying a delivery fee PLUS tipping the driver. We had an order of over $100 and tipped 20% -- $14! For a 2 hour wait time? This is unacceptable. I've continued to give them chances, even though they've messed up orders in the past (forgot the chicken on a chicken salad, no dressing even though you pay for extra, order a panini & get a dry hard sub roll- like come on!) I love Il Panino, both the people who work there and their excellent food. This past weekend, they catered a 90th birthday party for my mother. I love this business because I had no idea what I was doing when I initially reached out to them, meaning I didn't even know what to order for my mom's party. The lovely Jody, who handles catering, helped me with everything. She was so kind, patient, and accommodating. Everything that I ordered for our party was perfect: specialty sandwiches, potato and macaroni salads, bang bang shrimp (AWESOME!) and yummy food for the kiddos! Everyone at the party raved about the food. Anthony prepared our order and delivered it to my house. What a nice guy and what a fantastic cook.
