IL Panino Pizza — Restaurant in Fairfield

Randomly found IL Panino Pizza on our way home from Manhattan & so glad we did! It felt like home walking in. The smells and atmosphere have such a comforting feeling. Their pizza looked fantastic, but I wanted to eat something light since we have five more hours in the car. I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar wrap & my husband ordered an Italian Sub. The presentation was impressive. Our meals were served on square porcelain dishes & had a sprinkling of parsley. My wrap had shaved Parmesan and fresh romaine lettuce, along with a generous portion of grilled chicken and yummy caesar dressing. The sub was served more open face than a sub wrapped in paper. I ordered through the slice app. The food is delicious! I chose the option for “cash” tip and was waiting for the driver to ring the doorbell so I could get the pizza and give a tip. My husband saw the delivery person on his way home and got to him before I did. My husband didn’t know I paid through the app or anything and the driver told him I paid through the app but didn’t leave a tip. He was mad and stood outside our house. I guess the app doesn’t notify the business that the person ordering is doing a cash tip? I just don’t understand being so aggressive and rude. Won’t be ordering from here again. Other businesses I’ve ordered from I always choose cash tip and the delivery drivers ring the bell so I know they’re here and they never demand a tip, I always give it, but I never experience rudeness from...

They have the potential to be in the top 10 for Best Regular Slice on the Pizza Hunters App. Stopped in for a quick grab n go slice. Was very busy, they did a great job of managing the rush. Just ordered a Regular Slice which was $3.15. The slice stared off amazing. It had the perfect harmony of cheese, sauce and crust. I was really excited about finding a hidden gem of a regulat Slice, but it lost me on bites 3 and beyond. But the end of the slice, it had no sauce. The Crust was super delicious with a lot of flavor. The sauce was excellent, I wanted more and more. It was a grab n go, so I'll Panino deserves another shot with a full pizza.
