The interior of the restaurant was quite inviting and gave the illusion of being in the Carribean. Visited on a Friday evening and besides myself, my guest for dinner and two other patrons, we had to go over to the counter and request a menu. However, when we arrived, a waitress, told us to seat ourselves. The food was grossly overpriced. Asked the cashier how many pieces of jerk chicken would be included in a large order and she said ānot sureā. How would you not know? My order was $13.00 for a breast and a leg. Also, a small order of greens and a slice of coco bread. The food actually was delicious but overpriced. The service was far to slow for me! Donāt let them become crowded! Wonāt be returning! My time is precious and especially on a Friday night after having worked all week! My advice for a small family oriented business is to plan ahead for afternoon patrons because people have to many options on where to eat dinner. Ordered rice and peas but they were not available because they were still cooking. Arrived at the restaurant at 7 p.m. Customer Service, can make or break any place of business. When, entering a place to spend my hard earned money, taking the time to greet me is key! Say hello to me when you see me coming to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWalked in the ārestaurantā at 5:30 placed my order, went to the restroom, came back, over heard the server tell another customer there was a 10 min wait on red beans and rice. I had ordered that so I ordered a drink seeing Iād be waiting. While I sat there I watched about 3 other people order and be told what they ordered was going to be a while because they were out. (Foods set up buffet style not cooked to order) 15 mins later the lady asked how much longer the other server told her there was now a 30 min wait on red beans and rice...I ordered another drink. Lost track of time waiting but looked up and seen the owner walking out with a pan. Not read beans and rice. I looked at my phone 7:15!!! The owner came and said something and sorry. Waited about 15 mins. 2 hours for jerk wings and read beans and rice during dinner on a Saturday. (Only 2 tables had customers during that time) no comp, discount or anything. Just because you can cook doesnāt mean you should run a business....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter 9 PM on Thursday not much is open for dine in. It was really cold out and no one else there. I ordered a meal and wanted to try something different. I got what I was there for. Nothing was served too spicy. I was treated as a valued guest. I was given a taste of what was available that I had not ordered. I will admit it was not all what I call familiar comfort food, but it was likely what I might get if I went to a Jamaica family dinner. If you cannot handle the choices there I would reconsider if it is worthwhile to travel to Jamaica. I am sure you could go on a tour and eat hamburgers, but why. BTW they can serve hamburgers too, but I was there to try something different. Only 4 stars because I found the spices light, but it is my fault for not asking for more spice. I was not up to it anyways. Next time I will have a better Idea what I like there. I will order the jerk chicken " Wings" with a little extra spices. That should result in 5 stars for me, but not...
