I went to another Jimboy's Tacos awhile back. The food was so delicious. Unfortunately they don't have and locations where I live, or anywhere near. I looked forward to coming to Norcal, so that I could enjoy it again.

Today was the day. I went to the location, and placed and order, and paid,

I asked the person who later emailed me and advised me he is the owner after a complaint to corporate "Do I need a code for the restroom?"

Owner Mario, said "The restroom is temporarily closed."

I asked "that's not cool, Do you know if there is another restroom close by?" (I wanted to wash my hands before I eat.)

Owner Mario, said (in a rude mocking manner) "No."

I said "Ok," and l literally waved it off, and turned around to walk out the door to look for a restroom."

Owner Mario, said "Do you have a problem?"

I turned back around, and said "Excuse me?"

Owner Mario, said "What are you going to do about it?"

I said "Nothing, I was going to look for a restroom."

Owner Mario, accuses me of flipping him off, and I explained that I didn't then, he mimicked my hand motion, acknowledging he knew I didn't flip him off. The cook guy comes out from the back and starts in on it. (check the camera, I didn't flip anyone off.)

I explained to the cook that Owner Mario, was being rude, and at this time the cashier hands me a $10 and told be to leave and never come back. I take the $10 bill and turn to walk to the door, and the cook guy comes after me.

The cook guy is still asking "what is the problem," "what do you want"

I explain "I wanted the restroom, but this Owner Mario, was being rude about it."

The cook guy says "The restroom is out of order," "why are you still here, why aren't you leaving"

I explained that I was answering him, because he was speaking to me...then I walked out, a little confused, and very disappointed.

This was a very disappointing experience. This was a very disappointing experience. Yeah, I said that twice, that is how bad it was.

I still want some of those Tacos, and hope to find another location while on my work day today.

Is the restroom out of order, or is it temporarily closed? Which is it? Either way it is a health...

It’s been years since I have had a Jimboy’s Taco. I decided to order some for lunch. The tacos are every bit as good as I remember. They are fried, so the shells are nice and crispy, the cheese inside is melted, fresh crunchy lettuce, nicely seasoned beef and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese for a hint of saltiness. Since they are fried, they are a little oily. If you like Jack in the Box tacos, the Jimboy Tacos are a whole another level of goodness! The prices of their tacos have gone up quite a bit from when I last had them, but they are good size and doesn’t take many to fill you up (I ate 4 and was really stuffed the rest of the day). I got an 9 pack togo for $28 plus tax. Inside they have a fair amount of seating. They have a TV playing the NCAA basketball tournament. They have a self serve salsa station. Service is just fair, but the guy taking orders is nice enough. If you are a fan of fried tacos, you need...

I love these guys, but they have their quirks. They are definitely what I affectionately call "white-boy tacos". Be warned, they roll their taco shells in PARMESAN cheese, and it is definitely not for everyone! I love the flavor; my wife prefers a burrito.

The restaurant is counter-style service, but it's comfortable to stay and eat. Remember that Nickelodeon show "Legends of the Hidden Temple"? That's basically the decor. They have multiple styles of self serve salsa, and it's all good.

Tacos go for $2 for straight beans, $2.39 for beef, and up from there. They also offer burritos and other quasi-Mexican offerings. I weigh in at 200 lbs, and 3 tacos fills me up pretty well.

The beef is delicious but extremely greasy. If you're open to such things, I suggest an upgrade to the carnitas for around 40 cents per taco. The seasoning is on point and it's far less drippy (of great concern to us bearded folk when...

Let me just start by saying it's pretty hard to make a bad taco. This is by far and away the worst Taco I've ever had and perhaps one of the worst meals I've ever had in my life. The tacos were actually dripping with grease and had absolutely no flavor. I ordered three ground beef tacos but couldn't get past the second one, my friend that I was eating with took one bite out of the second one and we just put them down as we were already feeling sick. I'm not sure how this place is still in business serving food like this. I was astonished at how bad these tacos actually were. We were probably talking about it for 30 minutes. The picture you see here with tacos still in the rapper is what we left on the tray and could not finish. Absolutely horrible.

een coming here for years. I went here last weekend. Had a few people in the lobby eating. I decided to stop and grab a combo to fill me up on my way to Sacramento. Was extremely disappointed and should have just waited to go to the jimboys in Sacramento. The tacos were barely full of ingredients. Taste wasn't off i was just disappointed. The fries, which were wierdly cut potato wedges, had so much seasoning salt on one side that i couldn't finish them. This is a new one for me since i hate wasting food. The salsa bar is no longer included. They gave me no ketchup to drown my salty fries. The sodas were flat which made my trip so much more unbareable

When in Rome or on a road trip, why not try something new? The lore has it that this restaurant's heritage is tied to the Lake Tahoe area. In the 50's, celebrities performing at The Cal Neva Lodge would make their way to the storefront, including members of the infamous Rat Pack. I had to see what all the fuss was about. Parlalyzed by choice I went for the original - a fried corn tortilla taco dusted with parmesan. I have to admit, it threw me off at first. It took something familiar and gave it a subtle, salty twist. The salsa bar was legit. I give Jimboy high marks for creativity. It's worth a try.
