This is truly unfortunate! I really like Kinders usually, except for the Fairfield location. First of all in all other locals the statement after taken your order is, “let me get my hands washed and I’ll put your order together!” Not here!!! Second on this my last time going here, I ordered over the phone and asked for a 1/2 inch cut T-Bone steak with prime rib rub, cooked well. I was in shock when they said $42.76 for my steak but ok things have gone up. Notice in the picture the steak is 1 1/2 inches and medium well, barely, with all of the fat still on. Granted there should be a little fat so you get great caramelization but an inch wide all the way around????? No thanks. The price is an issue because the steak isn’t cooked to my request and because it’s improperly served. Poor management in this location and it’s too bad, cause there isn’t a lot of great food options around.

BF's eyes are bigger than his stomach. Went back for the ball tip and rib eye, fries AND onion rings!! So much food. Wish they had a 1/2 and 1/2 for fries and onion rings. ******************************* Had the ball tip sandwich with everything and it was absolutely divine. I was worried it would be drenched in bbq sauce but it wasnt, as a matter of fact I added more. Had it with a side on onion rings, would definitely have it again. BF had the burger. He was going to originally have the rib eye sandwich but they were grilling the burgers and the smell got the best of him. Much regret, did not love. The bread got real soggy real quick and fell apart, and the patty was way too thick. He ended up eating half of my ball tip sammie. Would definitely come back again for the ball tip alone, but would like to try their rib eye and bbq beef sammies.

I first discovered Kinder’s back in 2009 when I was 19, visiting my girlfriend in Chico. She introduced me to the Ball Tip sandwich, and it instantly became the best sandwich I’d ever had. Fast forward 15 years: I’m now 35, married with four kids, living in Sacramento. I finally got to take my family to the Kinder’s in Fairfield and relive that experience. Let me tell you—this sandwich is still amazing! The Ball Tip is just as delicious as I remember: no gristle, no questionable meat, just tender, flavorful BBQ perfection. I’m so impressed that after all these years, the quality hasn’t changed. Huge thanks to the Kinder’s team for their hard work and consistency. If you haven’t been, you need to go! And don’t forget to tip—they truly deserve it!

Message to the owner! My family has dined at Kinder’s for over 30 years, it only took this last experience to tarnish all the memories that we shared over this period of time.

Your GM, provided the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my 52 years on this earth. It was so bad two of your employees contemplated paying for my replacement salad but I respectfully declined.

Your dining room tables are closely aligned and it was lunchtime. I sat at one of the pub tables and began eating my salad. I didn’t even finish a quarter of the salad by the way. Another customer came in and sat at the pub table directly across from me. She coughed directly in my salad. I didn’t say anything to her, I immediately walked to the register and kindly asked for a replacement salad due to the customer coughing directly in my salad.

The representative I spoke with was very courteous and mentioned let me get you another salad. Then all of a sudden your GM walked over with an instant attitude, with frown on her face like she wanted to do something to me! She said “I’m not replacing the salad, you could have took the order to go or moved your seat”.

I was dumbfounded by this response, something I did not expect. If I’m in the area having lunch during my lunch hr, do I go eat the food in my car? Or know that the customer would cough directly in my food? The customer also had a constant cough after that. The customer didn’t walk in coughing.

She then mentioned that she would call the owner if I would like to speak with him and I said sure. She then walked to the back came back to where I was and said never mind she is not calling the owner. She never gave me a chance to explain the situation, was not willing to listen to anything I had to say and was very rude! It came off to me as if I was trying to get over and the salad was more than three quarters full.

To have a GM represent your restaurant in this way is troubling to say the least and if we were to ever consider Kinder’s again, it would definitely not be Fairfield.

This experience was definitely not a sense of community and a lack of respect for the local...

worst kinders ive eaten at. Im east bay born/raised, both concord locations have thousands of my dollars already over the last decade+ as well as plenty of infrequent visits to the other locations, but fairfield has to be the worst one. I currently work in fairfield, and have for about a year, and have repeatedly ordered from the local kinders only to be disappointed every single time. I have yet to get an order where the french fries are even cooked enough, and worse is I order thru delivery (because work) so not only do they under-cook the fries (by policy apparently), but they show up soggy AND cold every single time, as if by design. They also put peppers in the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese that other locations put bacon in; this placed subs peppers. sub par management decisions all over. there is no cali burger option on the menu like other locations, but they offer bacon and avocado as add ons, making a burger plus those more expensive than ordering a cali at another kinders, but the burger patties are very dry and the bun is strangely wet.

The other locations will continue to see my business, especially concord off hwy 4, but I write this as the final note to my repeated attempts to accept the fairfield kinders and...

Customer service is seriously lacking. Please fire your staff and hire people who really want to work there. Tried to call in an order, the girl on the phone didn’t know what their menu said online Strike 1. I could sense she was going to be a problem (attitude on the phone) and I prefer no spit in my food so I decided to order when I got there. Walked in, I was ignored by all staff who saw me and said nothing for over 5 minutes. I finally made someone talk to me and asked for help, his response “in a minute we’re all busy” and walked away Strike 2. I said ok I see you taking phone orders I will try that again. Same girl answered I give her my order and ask to read it back to me. She read it so fast I didn’t know what she said. I asked if she got one item her response with an attitude “it was the second thing I said” strike 3. No thanks, I went to Chick fil a where the service was superb even though they were super busy and the line was down the road to order drive thru. Will never come back or even try the food I don’t care if it is good or not. Good customer service matters when I’m...
