Food is good but they are way too inconsistent. I have not dined in but only have done online take out. Only my first order with them was done correctly. I’ve ordered from them a good handful of times and each time, they either forget to add something to my order, the amount of food would be different/smaller, and/or the quality would not be as good. Yesterday, I ordered a veggie ramen and there were significantly less veggies and they used a different noodle that I didn’t request (I just wanted the regular noodle). It just wasn’t as good as the first time I ate the ramen. I didn’t even bother to call because I noticed it after I got home and didn’t feel like dealing with another issue with them (I’ve had to call or go back up there for issues I’ve had with my other orders). I understand they are new but they’ve been open long enough to have found some type of rhythm and consistency at this point. I even have spread out the times I go, hoping that they would have improved but yesterday showed that they didn’t (complete waste of my money).
I would beware with placing online orders with them. They staple the bags but open them and completely take all of your food out of the bag in front of them before leaving to make sure not only you have everything but that it looks right.
I don’t think I would consider going back for a...
Read moreVery well decorated atmosphere and plating. Food was delicious with well balanced flavors; creative and tasty. If dining for meal quantity I suggest the Ramen; medium sized bowls with several options. Out of the spicy miso ramen and the black garlic ramen we preferred the later for its robust flavor. I had the Eye of the Tiger roll which was delicious with an amazing texture. The Miso soup was the best I have had, though I have only tried it at one other local restaurant. While the staff was friendly and made sure the needs of the guests were met, my only knock was the quantity of sushi I received. Before I ordered, I asked how many pieces came in the roll I would be ordering; the waitress said 8-12 pieces. When my roll was deliver it was only five pieces. While the roll was a good size, I was very hungry after just finished a workout and had I known the roll size I would have ordered ramen for a larger portion meal for two additional dollars. Overall the experience was more positive than negative and my compliments went to the waitressing staff and Chief. While I was given the wrong size description, I felt the waitress simply did not know the size of each roll. I will be returning to Kyushu, but I will be prepared to spend $30 or more to get sushi as an appetizer and ramen as my meal....
Read moreThis new ramen place in Fairfield was a pleasant surprise! My husband and I went to check it out and we'll be returning! For starters, the ambiance is on point, the seating is so well done! They took great care in all the details and I appreciate that.
Now for the star- the ramen; I actually prefer theirs over Genki and Zundo 👀 I ordered the tonkatsu and their broth was SO flavorful and the noodles were the perfect texture! One critique, the egg though perfectly jammy, it was oddly sweet, I couldn't finish it. Hopefully that was a one off.
We also tried their pork belly buns, which had like a peanut sauce on them and made it more Thai reminiscent (think the sauce you dip summer rolls in). The pork belly was very tender, not chewy at all. Definitely will order them again!
Definitely recommend checking this place out!! We can't wait to return to try...
