Two words, AWFUL RESTAURANT. So I just ordered from this dreadful place and I will lay out each detail for you so that you can be the judge for yourself. I ordered through Menufy (never again, will I order through them), and upon receiving my order a very aggressive delivery man rung my door nonstop after I made a note to ask for contactless delivery in the instruction box as well as check contactless delivery upon placing the order. I opened the door slightly and asked him to leave bag. He yet again rung my doorbell and knocked aggressively. Im sure he was most likely hounding me for a tip which I usually give but not when the food is late and the delivery driver is being inappropriate. Once we grabbed the food and opened it I noticed that each container was cold but what was more depressing was the fact that I ordered a soup and instead it came as plain (yes plain, no broth, no seasoning, just noodles), bland, container of noodles. The second dish was the calamari which I realized had a HUGE (not a ventalation hole) hole cut out at the top and that the tin to secure it had been bent back as though someone had been digging in the food. The vegetable udon looked dry and bland as well. The duck spring rolls were ice cold and hard and the 8 pcs chicken wings were tiny, random, broken pieces of 4 wings. I immediately called in to politely complain about this and they said that they would fix the issue. About 8 different calls of back and forth with one lady putting me on long holds, talking over me, telling me that it was my fault etc. And eventually it resulted in me hanging up on them. I called Menufy to be greeted by a very unhelpful, smug customer service rep who told me to eat the food if they were sending out replacement items. I asked him if he would ever consider eating additional items from a place that treated him the way i was treated and he just demanded me to eat the food anyways. The delivery driver came back and the store called and I let them know that I would not be accepting the remade items. I called Menufy back and they pretty much told me that they could only give me a refund if the restaurant approved it. So here I am writing this review and my email notification pops up to tell me that LC Chen just refunded me 6.72?! Wth I just spent almost 50 dollars with these people. I will be reporting LC Chen's to my card company as well as the BBB along with Menufy. What a joke. If you decide to order upscale Japanese or Asian fusion I urge you to...

A Hidden Gem in Fairfield County!

We had an unforgettable dining experience at LC Chen in Fairfield, CT! From start to finish, every dish was absolutely delicious.

Appetizers: We began with a crunchy Napa cabbage salad and crispy soft-shell crabs. Both were incredibly flavorful, setting the tone for an amazing meal.

Soup: The hot and sour soup was a standout! It was packed with tender mushrooms and a perfect balance of tangy and spicy flavors.

Main Dishes: The Peking duck was perfection! It felt like an authentic dish straight from Peking itself. The skin was so crisp it crackled with every bite, while the tender, juicy meat melted in our mouths. Paired with hoisin sauce, fresh cucumber, scallions, and soft bun wraps, it was a true taste and textural masterpiece. The owner, Lin Ma, graciously demonstrated how to assemble the wraps, making the experience even more enjoyable.

We also ordered the General Tsao's chicken and Singapore shrimp curry noodles, and every plate was emptied quickly--it was that good!

My friend and I just ordered take-out from this restaurant: an order of sushi, two miso soups, sweet and sour chicken, and a garden salad. We received our order and when we opened the bags, we realized that the garden salad was not there. When we called the restaurant to let them know that the $4.50 salad was not delivered, we were called LIARS and told that the manager would be coming to the house to check to see if the salad was indeed there and then take back all of our food. We were additionally told we would not be allowed to return to the restaurant or use their business. They refused to give us the name of a manager or owner to help us. I never believed that I would see the day when a business called it's customers liars and accused them of stealing a salad.

After this entire ordeal they realized the driver had accidentally delivered the wrong order and the manager - that they had refused to give us the name of before - called us and apologized on behalf of the exceptionally rude server.

As someone with experience in customer service, I found this entire experience appalling. This restaurant deserves...

Our family enjoyed LC Chen's and we never had an issue ordering a meal with this establishment until today. Our son ordered a small chicken fried rice and while eating he found an insect in his meal. We called and after being on hold the lady asked me if we would like to order another meal, I immediately said no and then she offered to credit my bill...no thank and we will no longer patronize this business. Diners eat in light.

Food was pretty good, the staff were nice and the booths are well spaced. For me, I had the curry and I thought the flavor was good, but the size of the meat and shrimp could be a little smaller. The Singapore rice noodle is, according to my mom “the best deal in Fairfield county”. We also had the spring rolls, I forgot to get a picture but they were pretty solid and standard. Overall, 3.75/5 🫡
