Wonder Fairfield — Restaurant in Fairfield

The girlfriend loves Bobby Flay and wanted to try this place for a while. I was underwhelmed. This place is a collaboration of many other restaurants apparently. I ordered from two of the chicken places and was expecting something of a Chix-Filet level atleast. Not even close. I ordered a spicey deluxe chicken sandwich. I received the basic (no toppings), luke warm sandwich but was charged for the deluxe. The sandwich was a far cry from Popeyes or Chix-Filet, let a lone a more formal restaurant. It was edible. That's the nicest thing I can say about it. I also ordered a 6 piece of boneless wings. I received bone-in wings. I didn't even eat them as I realzied whoever did this order didn't give a flying F. Onion rings wer luke warm and ok. The fries were disgusting. The girlfriend tried the Bobby Flay steak. She said it was great but only had 2 or 3 bites with the rest going in the garbage, so that was her pride trying to justify this horrible choice.

There are two dozen places within a minute drive of this place that are better. I highly recommend eating anywhere else first in the Fairfield area before throwing your money away here. The only reason I didn't one star everything because I did eat the crappy sandwich out of pure hunger. Any fast food chicken sandwich is miles better. I can not stress that enough. This restaurant is a jack of all foods, and barely reaches mediocracy across the board. Also, the inside looked clean enough from the car to get a 3 for atmosphere, and it isn't in a 'I'm going to get stabbed after dark' neighborhood. Service is a two because the meals were all wrong but...

I was interested to check this new food hall concept. They have 12 different restaurant offerings in one location. You can order for pick up or delivery. There are about 3 small tables where you can dine in if you are picking up your order. They also have a few kiosks that you can place your order in store, otherwise you can order on the app.

We ordered a cheesesteak from Fred's Meat & Bread and a brisket sandwich and onion rings from Tejas BBQ. We ordered for pick up, the food was ready before scheduled. The only downside it was already cool when we arrived. The quality and flavor of the food was great. They packed the orders with care and each item came in it's corresponding restaurant packaging.

We ate inside. The customer service was awesome. They welcomed each customer that arrived and helped them find their orders.

I'd definitely go again to try different restaurants. There are too many options to just go once. Next time I'll probably...

Street Bird: The chicken sandwiches and tenders are good. Chicken sandwiches are a good size and not dry. I threw in some slaw and it put it over the top. The tenders are a great size too. It’s def been added to the work rotation.

Tejas: Pulled pork was alright, I prob wouldn’t get it again but I do wanna give the brisket a shot.

Royal Greens: Great portioned salad with everything carefully placed. Great portions of protein as well. This has been added to the rotation too.

Burger Baby: Super solid burgers, it looks messy in my photo but it was a great eat and super filling. Another one added to the rotation for sure!

Lime Salt: I got the build your own tacos, really good sized tacos that you can fully customize. Steak was good. A bit overcooked but that’s fine.
