This place is iconic! Was established in 1945. A breakfast location for the most diehard of local political hobnobbing. Known for crispy bacon, sausage, and huge pancakes. It is the bottomless cup of coffee drinkers that regularly call this place home! Great omelettes, waffles, biscuits/gravy, and french toast, too! As a whole, the food is well prepared and brought on those heavy old-fashioned diner white plates with the heavy ceramic coffee cups! A taste of Americana! Mayberry has nothing on this place! Great assortment of food selections at a reasonable price couple with a wonderful stroll through town makes for an experience for the memory books! Unfortunately, service can be more like a ghost town. My last visit took over an hour to get our order and there was hardly an acknowledgment of the unreasonable wait. If you're in the circle, your food hits the table about the same time you're seated. The rest of us must be patient. Nevertheless, I will continue to take my family to sit at a booth and endure the anticipated arrival of our...

Had a wonderful experience! I’m in town for work for a couple of hours and had a chance to have breakfast while I was here. Robbie was very attentive and gave me options for my restrictive diet. The omelet was GLORIOUS! I’ve never had one like it. I ordered the spinach omelet with goat cheese and added jalapeño and sausage. The kitchen didn’t put the sausage in (which is no big deal anyway, things happen and that omelet was STUFFED) so they brought me some on the side and I added it myself. However, it was a good thing because the omelet was better without the sausage! If you order the omelet and are thinking of adding a meat, do it on the side and gauge for yourself. Also Kudos to the staff for rectifying the sausage so easily and quickly. Much appreciated and in this case, I’m really happy it happened. Every aspect of the restaurant was 5 stars: cleanliness, staff, food, customer service, and...

We had an amazing experience at Juleins this morning. Our server was Olivia and she went above and beyond!

Our boys have food dye allergies and can't have artificial dyes or caramel coloring. They got the Pancake bears and the syrup had caramel coloring so we asked for honey. She came back with sugar free syrup because they were out of honey, hoping it would suffice. After we told her about the allergies she went back and a few minutes later came back with Chocolate syrup and informed us that the owner had left to go down the road to buy honey for our boys and they would remake the pancakes so they were fresh! We were shocked! It was amazing they would go to such lengths to take care of a family that is just passing through. I highly recommend you try them!

The food tasted great, came out quickly, it was accurate to what we ordered and the atmosphere is clean and fun!

We hope...

Fairhope really has a slice of NOLA's french quarter, and it can be found in Julwin's Shrimp and Grits! The wait was not bad and our waitress was very friendly. We have been to NOLA twice and these were the best shrimp and grits I have ever had. My wife enjoyed the spinach omelette and the kids crushed the chocolate chip pancake bears. Only complaint for atmosphere was the booth we were seated at slants down on one side so my kid was leaning against me as she ate. We were briefed about it before sitting, but if you know its a problem, stick a wooden plank under one side. If we find ourselves back in town, this will be a mandatory stop.

A decade and a half ago I brought my grandbabies and wife to this restaurant and swore I would never return. Then the food was very bad and the service is horrible. I was waiting for an appointment and forgot about this restaurant and walked in. I realized my mistake automatically and almost turned around. I decided to give it another shot. Big mistake service is horrible and the food was even worse than a decade and a half ago. If you’re not gonna make quality food or have a great service what is the point of opening a restaurant or staying in business.
