My mom and I stopped by Rockne's for lunch. This was the first time we ever dined here. Before we venture to any new establishment, I typically read the Google reviews, as they always provide good insight from previous patrons. Upon walking into the restaurant, the decor made me think of Cheers (the show from the 80s). There is beautiful wood paneling and neat memorabilia that fill the walls. The bathrooms are located right off the entryway and are very clean, by the way. We were promptly seated after our arrival. Our waitress was Sarah; she was quick to take our drink order and made our meal choices simple by making some suggestions. My mom and I started with a couple of side salads and an order of sauerkraut balls for an appetizer. We did not wait very long for this to arrive. The salads were massive and plentiful. I ordered balsamic dressing with mine, and Holy cow, was it amazing!! The sauerkraut balls were some of the best we've had. The honey mustard dressing was the perfect complement for them! Our main course arrived at great time, as we had just finished up with our appetizers. My mom ordered the Terminator sub, and I had the Jumbo Fajita Plate. Both dishes were well portioned. So much that we had lots of leftovers! My mom loved her sandwich and said it was not greasy and had great flavor. My fajitas were perfect! The chicken was very tender and came with amazing flavor, too. It was not salty, spicy, or bland - it was just right. Sarah came by quite often to check on us and replenish our beverages. We really liked talking to her and appreciated her kindness and patience. She is such a lovely gal!! In all, we left extremely satisfied with this place and would highly recommend it. It's a cool atmosphere that was very clean and tastefully decorated. I found the floors to be really unique! There is plenty of parking, too. We can't wait...
Read moreHonestly is the best review. Went with a friend, waited 4 min before opening in our car, another car pulled up Ruth beside us and I said we better head to the door so we could get our order in first. Hosted unlock the door and was fumbling with seem like our menu. The man can in behind us and she said follow me with one menu and he walk around us and she said he a regular, hmm I thinking what is a regular and we followed hers as well. She said again he is a regular 1. Do he get his own menu 2. Do he seat himself in his regular seat 3. Do he go cook his own food. I said I never heard of this every and first come get the seating . He was even mumbling something as well. Then she sat us in another area and I ask to see the manager and of course the waitress said he will be out after he get of the phone. He came out and listened and he said that should not have happened and he would speak to the hostess. He brought our food out and at the end he took care of my meal and I though he should have taken care of both, but my friend did not speak up and that was on her. I also did not leave a tip because of the mishap. Waitress said I am sorry for what happened to you and I said it’s was not right. We walk out and hosted said have a good day. I am like have a good day when you start this bad day , in my head. Hmmm I told my friends who are regulars their and they could not...
Read moreBesides excellent food and service, I left my cell there and couldn't go back until the next day. The head manager had it waiting for me and verified who I was when I called it b4 releasing it. Good food and great people. I started with the mushroom brie soup(which i was glad to see they recently brought back) and comes with soft tortillas which are great to dip. It could have been a tad hotter, (I like soup pretty hot) and then had the steak salad. My steak was cooked exactly to order(medium rare standard which is what I wanted anyway), salad was fresh, with Bleu dressing. I also got the Kickin' Cajun Pasta to go. Which was excellent. Overall I've eaten several dishes at several of the locations (stow, ridge park square (several times b4 closing), Streetsboro and now Fairlawn, and never had a bad experience which I have found to be a rare commodity in a chain with different management all the time. Nothing high end la fantaisie fare, but generally I'm not looking for that on a daily basis while out working and such, just a decent variety, non fast food semi healthy, prepared properly, fresh and hot, and professional service. If I get all of that at least, I'm a happy foodie camper. I have. I wish there were more up north by Cleveland still, especially on the east side, but I will continue to visit then when in the...
